I have one in Oxblood, it's not light just because the leather is pretty thick plus it has a chain which adds weight as well.
i think you need to try it in person to see how you feel about it.

i can't stop on every single bag posted, it make me crave to get one for myself!! but i tell you all - THEY ALL ARE FABULOUS!!!

I'm traveling all week, so I'm up late and decided to go ahead and post my bags for the week.

I don't like purple or violet all that much but PINK is my FA-VOR-ITE color!!!

I bought the Prada because salmon pink is one of my sorority colors (the color is more true in the second photo) and I looooove Prada's double zip totes.

I got the Miss Dior as a present after I ranted and raved about how much I loved my blue one. She's more of a bright watermelon / flamingo / tropical pink than a true pink. I always feel like I should be biting into something juicy when I see her.

So, with both of these having yellow undertones, I still need the perfect true pink (perhaps with slight blue undertones) to round out my pink family. But I'm not in any rush. I love my two pink babies. And, their different shades and styles work across my wardrobe. So I'm a happy camper.

And for @vink, the interior of the Miss Dior is a gorgeous dove grey! Pink and grey is one of my favorite combos (in fact pink and silver were my wedding colors) so I swooned when I saw it!

I agree! I think blue/indigo and violet/pink weeks were some of the most beautiful. It's funny that we'll follow this peacock level burst of rich color with black next week. LOL!

Thanks for explaining. Hermes is a "black box" to me so every bit of insight helps. I thought gold was a classic "always in" color for H. Shows what I know. LOL!

And you did some important thinking here! You figured out what you need to do and now you're more clear. I find talking on this thread really helps me think things through. So feel free to jump in any any time with any thoughts.

You also have come to a conclusion it took me yeeeeeaaaaarrrs to get (and I can still go rogue and make a silly decision if I'm not careful) No compromise / almost bags! Never! Not for any reason! It's better to struggle with the gap in our closets - even for a couple of years - than get a filler bag.

So kudos! You're a smart cookie.

I really like the way that you phrased my thoughts! Now I have a mantra. I really appreciate your insight that it is better to have a gap in the closet to have a filler bag. I really need to keep reminding myself of this daily.
You know gold is a classic color for a Kelly, really everything about it is just fine, it's just very pedestrian. Your question made me pull it out of the dust bag and I have to say thanks, I forgot how well made it is and it does still make me smile. I am going to take the advice I read on this thread and use it for 1-2 weeks regularly and see if it really does have a place in my closet or not.

The raspberry of your Alexa is so pretty. It looks like more of a bubblegum to me.

And, I agree on the indoor group shots. They aren't doing my bags any favors. Too much harsh yellow light. But I'm still trying because I want to see the year over year easily going forward.

I forgot about SLG's til you posted yours. I have a fuchsia caviar Chanel card case.

I always keep an envirosax bag in my bag, usually for shopping purposes and a protective cover for my bag if it rains very heavily. I wasn't sure if the bag was truly rainproof, but I thought it could at least provide some protection for my bag while I brave through the rain!

I have a Nightingale which Givenchy called it as aubergine. I don't know if it fits your definition of the black-purple. Maybe not. (this bag is at the top of my list of bags to ‘out’. Too heavy for me and I have not used it since a long time ago)

My not-so-fashionable bags:

Kelly 35 in gold clemence. Not very "insta-worthy". No that I post on Instagram but I still feel a little second-best about this bag.

Chanel GST. It seemed like a great idea at the time for a tote, but I realized that I prefer an open tote because it fits so much more. Also very conscious of the big CCs.

Vintage Constance that I bought because it was a great deal but there was more wear than I expected and I always see this as more of a formal bag. Is there a way to pull off wearing it as a more grung or funky bag? I don't wear jeans, but I could see it with beat up jeans and a T-shirt.

Large baggu leather bag. Not a fashionable brand, but it is the best ever bag for groceries and I love it.

I see that your handle is 0612- which is my birthday & was wondering if it's yours as well ? I absolutely love the Kelly 35 and it's on my wishlist. The gold color is perfect in my opinion. So versatile and lady like. What don't you love about it?
I agree totally with you about the look of the GST with the large logo. Are you considering replacing this for different style of Chanel tote
