Have fun in Vegas, eggtart!!!

Off topic, but do you other thirtysomethings find your highs and lows with your cycle are completely intense? I have just realized that the last time I was not pregnant or postpartum and cycling I was just over 30, and my emotions didn't vary that much. These last few months I am finally back into the same situation but now a couple days per month I can't get my thoughts out of the gutter(& hands off my husband) and a couple days per month at the start of my period or just before, I can't keep my thoughts out of the depths of despair and sensitivity. I just wept in the locker room after tabata. This is ridiculous, I have nothing to complain about. Stoopid hormones!!!! Get out of my brain! I miss being a young woman with far less vicious mood swings.

i am 36, with 2 kids of 8 and 11 y/o
i am feeling more prone to get tired quicker, feel slow and lazy, just lacking energy on some days, but not mood swings, i didn't have them during pregnancies either.

Perhaps I'm not the best person to give you an answer. [emoji28] I'll be 38 next week, but I have a history of depression and was diagnosed with bipolar before. Only one thing I can guarantee you, my emotion can be just as intense, or a little bit more. [emoji6] It's just that my cycle is much longer than yours. [emoji38]

I hope the rest of this week will bring joy to everyone here in one way or another. Yesterday we had two feet of snow and I am so happy we never lost power. I have been not doing well in the diet department. I am saying this out loud so I have no more excuses. I do not need to buy bigger clothes to go with my bags . I need to drop weight. Now back to the program . What bags have you actually been carrying lately.

I carried my Massaccesi Zhoe Legend the other day. I've not worn it in months, even during our challenges. Even if I enjoyed wearing her, I used her for 1 day only. Shoulder bags are just not at the top of my preferred list. Today and yesterday I enjoyed my AMQueen Padlock. For tomorrow I have yet to decide what to wear.

My rule: I never, ever buy bigger or stretchier clothes. My clothes getting snug is a warning system. I can't stand being uncomfortable, so the tightness will make me lose the 5 lbs (or whatever) that crept on.

Also, here's a hint. If you're having cravings, try eating a low carb diet with at least 2 qts of water (preferably a gallon) per day for two weeks. Something like a Paleo diet or South Beach Phase I would do. That will cut sugar / carb cravings allowing you an easier path to getting back to the healthy eating program of your choice. I just stay on a modified Paleo approach so I don't have to diet, count calories or deal with cravings. Before I made the switch, I was always hungry, on some kind of diet and carried extra pounds. It was bad all around.

But back to bags. I carried my grey lamb Chanel and black Proenza Schouler Small Courier the past four days while I was out of town. The grey lamb worked wonderfully for my nicely dressed days, but I really should have taken my black YSL for the active days. The PS was too small for what I needed to do.

Now that I have other bags, I'm less and less enamored of the PS. I like it and plan to keep it. But since I finally learned how to buy appropriately, every new bag I add to my collection is an upgrade (quality, fit and style). So it casts older bags in a different light. I can see the evolution in my approach to bags based on when I purchased them.

Anyone else have that happening where older bags - while well loved - just aren't as much of a fit for you as you're newer bags?
