I still have to post my reds! High and low - Fendi 2jours and Reisenthel shopping tote...

I love your Fendi 2jours!
Great yellow and orange. Love the idea of using bags for other things. I miss Liz.
I miss Liz and the other ladies too. I'm sure Liz is busy with her house. I hope Run is well. The other ladies I'm sure are busy too.

That's a toddler butt there in pink on my cat hair covered sofa, but have to enjoy the compliment because literally no one has ever noticed it before. I went through a phase of being really into award winning jewel cutters and buying loose precious and semi precious stones from them, to make into jewelry. Gold was expensive at the time so I took these stones to a local jeweler with a bunch of scrap gold about 9 years ago and had him melt it all down and make this really heavy duty sturdy necklace with all the stones bezel set so no sharp places. So I can wear it for days, weeks, even months without needing to change it because I don't worry about it breaking off and getting lost and with a rainbow of colors it matches everything. Gold never irritates my skin of course. I am just lazy about jewelry so something I put on and forget is really handy. View attachment 3631248
I also had a 'phase' with gemstones. Not in the sense that I bought finished pieces. I just wanted to buy the loose stones. I actually got "yellow sapphires" from Cambodia. However, the jeweler here told me that he thinks they are not real. I really don't know though. I was not able to join the travel to Myanmar which is famous for these semi-precious stones.

We should have an Alma weekend!!!

I didn't realize so many had Almas.

We could do it for any style several have. And if someone doesn't have the exact bag, something in a similar shape.
I like the Alma weekend though I have nothing to contribute...unless I see something on my trip next week! It's on my shortlist.

Only one bag to offer for yellow/orange week: my Bal City bag in Curry. DH bought this for me as an early birthday present 3 years ago, and I specifically requested this color, since I had the Triple Tour bracelet in the same color and I thought they would be a fun match.
Long story short: I no longer have the bracelet, but I still have the bag! :hrmm:
I don't carry it often, because the color "pops" a bit more than I thought it would, but it's a good size for vacations (holds a lot and weighs next to nothing) and since it's my only City bag I don't intend to rehome it.
As you can see, I replaced the short leather strap with a canvas one by Mautto, because the shorter shoulder strap was always slipping off. At this length, I can carry it either on my shoulder or cross body, which is much more convenient. And since so many bag companies are now showing contrasting straps, this has actually become a semi-fashionable look!

I love your City!! And I remember reading in another thread about the story that goes with it. Somebody in that thread advised you to already use it early. What a lovely present from your DH!

My pinks and reds were only Longchamp LePliages, my Bally travel bag, and my Longchamp suitcase. But they're primarily travel pieces, not part of my core collection.

I would love to add a red to my core collection. Like a Louboutin red or a burgundy/dark red. Not sure which would be better for me.
(Suggestions for a red/burgundy would be much welcomed, even after all the pics, I'm not sure what to go chasing after)

For orange and yellow, I still have my orange Evelyne. So I have orange covered!

Not sure if I could pull off yellow.

Yes, that's exactly right. DH bought it for me in June, and I initially planned to put it away until December 25 (my birthday). But one of my tPF friends scolded me, saying (1) the bag was a perfect color for summer; and (2) how did I know what would happen between June and December? So I took her excellent advice and used it early, then put it back in the box in early December, wrapped it, and re-opened it the morning of my birthday. :giggle:

BTW, I got a counter offer on the burgundy workhorse bag. It's a good counter but im realizing I'm just not excited about the bag. So, keeping with the rule I'm trying to live by - only purchase bags I'm excited about, I'm going to take a pass.
Good that this realization came BEFORE buying it... sometimes i do it on purpose, when i am uncertain and indecisive, i offer low for the item and wait, if it's accepted - fine, i'll pay low, if not then basis a counter i judge my feelings and either pass, or carry on negotiation. But this really helps to clear up your mind to understand what you really want.

How do you like the Ferragamo? I saw a blue and red striped one and found it cute.
Hi Bake, to be honest it is not one of my most used bags. I bought it on a weekend I was traveling for a wedding. I liked the colour (was coveting a burgundy Chanel medium/large Classic Flap, which I did not buy because it was caviar and I preferred lambskin.) I purchased burgundy Ferragamo pumps and decided to get the matching colour Ginny shoulder bag. It is an elegant small capacity shoulder bag. I have reduced the number of small bags in my collection and I am not ready to let this one go. If you don't carry much in your bag or are able to pare down to essentials for an evening out - give it a try, it may work for you.
