Spark,I adore this deep red color.
And your scarves are gorgeous!!!! I like how you have it tied to your bag in this photo. I think having a scarf on my bag may be my first approach. I've not yet seen a style of wearing a scarf that works for me yet. I'm going to google some photos for inspiration.
I'm going to be mindful of this purchase just like I am on my jewelry and am teaching myself to be on my handbags. So I need to gather multiple ways to wear scarves before I take the plunge. This will be fun!
One thing that my handbags have done (in a happy way) is "force" me to get ever more neutral with my clothing. I love brightly colored bags so I've been buying and wearing more black, white, cream, grey, etc. Adding brightly colored scarves will just reinforce that trend. So more neutrals are happening in my closet. The cut / design of my clothing is getting far more important than having color.
Don't get me wrong - I don't have a problem mixing colors or brights. And I still have many bright / saturated color wardrobe pieces. It's just that for the reasons above, I'm trending more to neutrals than I had in the past.
Anyone else find that their wardrobe gets impacted by their accessories v. the other way around?
For me I start with my wardrobe and build my accessories around that. I love color so I'm always trying to make sure that bags, shoes etc work well with my wardrobe. It's a moving target because I'm always refining my wardrobe.
