This picture represents my toughest edit from last year - selling my red Gucci. I loved the bag but it didn't broaden my wear options beyond what the Chanel and Prada do.
I suspect I'll add one or two more red bags down the road. Starting with something smaller - but not mini - that I could transition from day to evening. But for now, I'm thrilled with what I have.
Cheers to cashmere from a gal who lives in a country where winter lasts about 7 months (the time I spend in the hockey rink driving my DS to practices and games), I'm living in cashmere sweaters all winter.Yes, exactly! I'd say the two clothing-related items I'm very fussy about are bags and scarves. I don't need super-high-end other kinds of clothes, like tops, skirts, pants, and so on. (Except for winter sweaters, where I admit to a weakness for cashmere.) But I don't shop brand names, just look for good quality at a reasonable price. Things that will last if I take care of them, and won't fall apart in the washing machine, LOL. And my shoes are not really expensive, because I can't wear heels any more and it seems silly to spend big bucks on flats and sturdy walking shoes. I like nice jewelry, but at this point I'm not too interested in adding to my collection... I have plenty. Although I must admit that Hermes has come out with some beautiful new enameled bangles, and I might (might!!) try some on the next time I'm in San Francisco!![]()
Congratulations on your goodies, even though you broke your ban it sounds like you made well thought out choices that addressed specific needs in your wardrobe. In other news, I broke my ban. I was going to wait to buy any wearables until the end of the month when I'm going on a major shopping trip, but I bought three expensive things this week.
I'd been looking for gray/neutral flats for MONTHS, and I got a Facebook ad showing me the perfect pair from Frye, so I ordered them. They arrive this week, and I hope they're what I need.
I live about two hours away from any major stores, but I had an appointment this weekend that brought me near an LV. I've had a gap in my wallet collection for something slim enough to fit in an evening clutch--I do not do well transferring items from my day bag to my evening bag and back. I did find the perfect card case, but I also bought a bag. it wasn't one of my gap items, but it is something I could use and haven't had.
I'm actually glad I'll have the card case (and potentially the flats) for my trip, but I probably could have waited on the bag.
this pattern is so pretty - congrats!I have one, and I love it! The hinge is easy to open/close. It's the medium width one. I like the weight of it, not light or heavy, just substantial. I haven't walked back into Hermes since I bought it for fear that I will spend money when I'm supposed to just browse. (Yeah, right.)
