Ah... I see. The last time I got my condo renovated while I was still living in there, I scheduled it to be during DD's school vacation so we could just get away during the whole period. I was so exhausted about packing and unpacking stuff I just decided to shove everything into one closet and seal it off. Also, the vanity area. I just seriously sealed it off with plastic sheets and tape. After the work, I had the cleaning crew came in and worked in getting rid of the dust. I can pack my suitcases for the trip just fine, but moving tire me out. I've been moving around since I was a kid. I hate packing stuff for all the move. It's not fun.

Good time to practice though. ;) And a great time to start re-evaluate things in life. ;)

Yeah the last time we renovated I stayed at my aunts house.

Not this time around. Lol. I'll be camping in the living room with my dog at some point.

And I believe it's two rounds of this. Right now is actual fixing and upgrading fixtures, floors, etc.

In the summer they'll get the house repainted so I'll have to be moved again.

I think the wants are still taking hold because it's my 30th this year. If it wasn't, I'd easily not want anything since I'll be moving out.

But I can't not celebrate my birthday haha.

And belated answer to Spark's question.

I think I got my style mainly from a handbook on how to dress yourself according to your shape combine with my own comfort with a splash of magazines.

I learn early on that I can't find clothes here in this country that fits me right. I'm always too big/chubby/curvy for the local brands. (Thank god for the globalization and Zara, UNIQLO, and the gang. I love you. Otherwise, I just need to rely on tailors 24/7) Everyone will be size 2-6 and I'll always be size 8-12 and no store will have clothes for my size. And the style that's popular with the majority of people isn't what I like or what makes me look best. So, I read a lot about how to dress to suit my body, plus, since my mom often left me with her magazines and I love reading, those fashion spreads are one of teachers I learn from.

And when I actually dress, comfort is the key priority. I know I should wear heels. But my feet love sneakers and flats so I choose to spoil my feet and ignore the book. ;) I should wear tailor pants, but I love my elastic pants lately and just bought a dozen from UNIQLO which I swear I'll wear them out.

Like I said, I may know a thing or two, but I usually end up listen to my heart or just spoil it to death. [emoji16]

We're the same size lol.

Bought a tassel without the bag with me. I would say epic fail. I thought the bag was bigger. Good thing I listened to bake and didn't spend to much.

It could go on another bag though!

If it didn't have the loop part it wouldn't hang so low.

I know the feeling as I'm permanently in black uggs until the weather breaks.

The pin fits just barely, now I would have to use super flat card case and keep my phone in my hand. Idk about this one
As much as I love the color, that would be a dealbreaker for me. As my mother always says, "If you don't know, the answer is no."

Although I have not been the most active participant on this thread; I have been "liking and lurking".

I also managed to complete the one brand challenge this week.

Mimmy, these are all so stunning! Gorgeous bags and gorgeous settings.

You have some great little cuties

Aww, thanks, papertiger!

Yippee! :yahoo:

After a three year hunt, finally I have "my" gold bag. Here is my soft gold perforated lambskin Chanel boy bag in new medium. I'm calling him Mr. Vegas Bad Boy. :lol:View attachment 3596076View attachment 3596072 View attachment 3596073View attachment 3596075 View attachment 3596074
What a stunner! Congrats.

Still on the blue color challenge. And cute that this morning a colleague approached me with some twilly and charms for sale. So I got this white fur ball. Immediately it got slung on my Longchamp Cuir.

Adorable! I love the bag.

Have you ever go through your old diary or journals and find something new about yourself? Or do you keep a diary or journal at all?

I have started keeping a log just to track what I wear every day and figure out what I really like and wear and what I don't. [Edited to add the answer to the other part of the question! I also try to rate my outfit and how much I really liked it--oddly enough, the ones I want to recreate are sometimes not the ones that scored the highest. Usually they were risky for me, and I wasn't sure at the time I put them on how much I liked them]

Congrats on the sales! Question for you and everyone else who sells bags: I have a number of bags that I want to get rid of, but none of them have any resale value (probably $100 or less each) and I am uncertain if it is worth the hassle of selling them or if I should just give them away or donate them to charity? So, my question is: at what monetary level does it become easier just to give away rather than sell?

This is tough, and I guess it depends on your circumstances. In an ideal world, I would list everything--money is money, and why not get some of my money back on the things I don't want any more? In reality, though, I find it a real pain to take a bunch of photos, take measurements, note any flaws, write a listing and go through the whole process of putting something up for sale. It's really time-consuming, and time is a commodity I just don't have. So while I list some things for sale, still, most of it just goes to my local consignment store. I don't get nearly the money for my stuff that I could if I sold them myself, but it also saves me a ton of hassle.

That's what I was thinking.
