I am really sad I didn’t get the first dog I fell in love with yesterday. There’s another that will be available today but I’m not sure as there are many interested parties.

I’m getting very tempted to stress shop now.

You will get a dog. I bawled my eyes out when one rescue Went a different way with a dog I really wanted. My niece had adopted his brother a few weeks prior. I ended up finding my little guy that I have now. The adoption of the first dog fell through because they lied on their application. So that dog went back in the system and my niece ended up with him too. He is a sweet dog but I actually love my guy more. So just remember your special dog is out there. Don’t get discouraged.

I’m going to give my totals for December and year-end 2017 since I know I’m done now.

December
In: 2 = Siena and Spy
Out: 3 = 1 Travel, 1 Archival 1 Shopping Bag o Doom. Cuts my totals but not my active F/W number.
SLG = 0 as usual

2017 Totals
In: 10, including 1 gift
Out: 18
SLG=1

So it went in the right direction in 2017 and I’m fairly happy. I had a little personal goal to hit 20 out but at the very last minute I decided to roll 2 over into January so I’ll have time to date them to see if there’s any chance we’re still a match. Those 2 are double zip totes (Tod’s and Coach Borough.). I still like, and in the case of Tod’s, love the bags but I find that style frustrating to carry. I’m making my goals for 2018 and will pop over to that thread!

Thanks to everyone ... especially bakeacookie who never fails to respond, encourage and discourage a tad when necessary. And to everyone. You all have offered such insightful comments, analyses, food for so much thought, It’s been a fun year (9 months for me.) Great job!

Which sienna size did you end up with?

Merry Christmas to absolutely no one in our family! Never ending flu to go through all of us and no one seems to ever stop coughing. I know I'm not showing any signs of stopping. It's been about two weeks with the first couple family members started to get sick and no one has been spared. Boo. Feeling horrid.

But! 3 weeks without an urge to buy a bag is something! Not even remotely interested; I really am happy with what I have.
I've been not browsing at all and have instead read through 4 nonfiction (department related but my selections for fun reads) tomes that had been sitting on my bookshelf and they were all excellent. Now to read my fifth holiday reading list choice and enjoy the fun of pleasure reading before the semester starts back up.

Sorry to hear everyone is sick. I myself have been coughing (asthma) since Christmas day. It takes the fun out of the holidays! And I can't even appreciate my current bag (the Mulb) now since I'm very sensitive to smell because of the asthma. I'm usually a sniffer!

HBG, sorry to hear everyone got the flu. Congratulations on all of the reading, that must feel good! Way to go with 3 weeks of no buying urges. See you in the 2018 thread.

I kept the GM BUT ... I’m up in the country until tomorrow (I feel your pain about that new heating system ... been there and it’s no fun) and of course my brain keeps churning on the rightness of that choice. So I guess I could say I will revisit it one last time tomorrow. I looked back at my notes and my post here after I initially looked at the MM and it was all about how small the bag seemed to me. One note to myself said it was the same size as the small LP Neo, so I decided to keep the GM.

Oh you over-analytical brain ... chill out!!

Oh HBG ... this sounds so awful anytime and for the holidays ... the worst. I wish I could just take a turn nursing the fam so you could have a break. It’s so very hard on the Mom and you are ill yourself. Wishing you some smiles and comfort as you and everyone recuperates. One day you’ll be in Hawaii.

You are the sweetest! Yes the sick littles were the hardest part when they were feverish and not able to sleep for very long at once. At least we are several days past that. I'm a bit sick of caring for everyone when I feel low and can't rest. It's middle of the night here and I woke to to back to back coughs that just would not stop so I took cough medicine and I'm waiting for that to kick in before laying back down which is such a trigger. Even one of our two Bengal cats has an ear infection and I have to feed him 3 different pills per day so our entire family needs some healthy dust sprinkled our way!

Yes Hawaii beckons!
I just want to get out of the house and use a purse! And shoes!

So sorry about this. I think you said at one time you like natural home remedies. So I wanted to offer one up.

During cold and flu season I always use saline sinus rinses. They help prevent colds, etc by washing away some of the bateria ans viruses we breathe in. And if you or your kids do get sick, they help thin the mucus which helps with congestion. I even add a couple drops of tea tree oil and iodine to help fight infection.

Before I tried them I was thinking NO! But they're easy and don't hurt at all.

Thanks! It really is NO FUN. had to cancel karaoke night out last night with the woman who runs my department. It would have been epic!

Sorry your nose isn't working!
