It very well could be. I've just always thought it strange to negotiate a price. We don't do that in any other areas of buying do we?

This is kind of nifty though, nowadays this kind of valuable information is right at your fingertips. You can look up what that exact car has sold for in your area recently, and show it to the salesman and explain you aren’t willing to go higher than the average price, and if you can see reason why it should be sold for slightly below that (mileage, whatever) you could make your case for a price below the average. And back it up with data, that ‘28 cars exactly like this have sold at that price this year in this state so I don’t believe you if you say that’s an impossible price to sell the car for’.

I love everything about your look!
OMG! This is soooo crazy. This has worked the opposite way for me. The Dior shopping experience is so wonderful that I break my "rule" about never buying retail and will shop there. And, it's caused me to be more eager to purchase the brand more overall. Good in store experiences with Gucci and Fendi have also made me more interested in those brands.

Alternatively, the snotty attitudes I've gotten more often than not in LV have made me not want to buy the brand. I like some of the bags in spite. And, the down the nose looks I've gotten the very few times I've been in Hermes (plus stories I've read on having to work to buy), have kept me from being seriously interested in that brand.

No way I will buy when I've gotten crappy service or elitist attitudes.

Gotta say, I've shopped in H for 9 years regularly and though often reg staff treat me like a VIP, on the odd occasion I get a 'temp'/new 'serving', treating me like an idiot I feel like screaming. No attitude is more off-putting.

I remember after waiting patiently for 10 min + a Chanel SA in Harrods told me she was only employed to serve Asian customers. You can imagine I hit the roof, no way was I gonna take that (which is in breach of Harrod's policies). They make up that crap out of thin air

That’s very sweet that they picked your Coach bag up off the floor! I have been doing a bit of lurking over in the BV forum over the last couple of weeks. I’m not sure the woven leather is for me, but there are a couple of bags I really like. I’m looking for a luxury option and am tired of my options at H, Chanel and LV. I have to say, shopping at BV was great fun — the SAs were friendly, down to earth, helpful and not at all pushy. I’ll definitely go back!

I don't think BV can afford to be lately, but that's another story.

I was wearing my BV hobo yesterday. Wearing a BV bag is like putting your slippers on: comfortable and feels like coming home

 Totally divine

Which brand is this?

Cathy Roels, she’s an indie bag maker in Belgium. She’s been studying under a Delvaux master for 7 years (but it’s just her addiction/passion, she hasn’t quit her day job) and selling her bags locally and online for just the past couple of years; the first five she just used them herself and gave them to friends& family.

Sorry I haven't been around. I haven't forgotten you though.

Bags out -1 My Alexander McQueen shopper. So PO about it though coz I left it in a Black Cab. Everyone pray it comes back to me please, I can't live without it.

Bags in - 0 But I am itching.

I bought some Georg Jensen ruthenium/enamel Daisy earrings and a sterling silver Smithy belt for DH. I've never bought clip-on earrings before and they don't feel particularly safe so I've asked GJ how I can make them tighter/stay on better.

Is the company having difficulties? They closed the BV store at the Natick Mall a while ago and transferred some of the staff to the Boston store, so the thought occurred to me that they may be downsizing.

Oh, no! Sending good vibes re the McQueen shopper. If it’s doesn’t come back to you, can you rebuy or is it discontinued?
