Thank you!
I feel pretty good about it. One of the bags was an LV that I bought myself for a very large birthday - and I never really liked it. I carried it for 7 years though before finally thinking to myself "WTH am I still carrying this?"
It was because it was expensive.
And too expensive to just donate - which is what I usually do. So I pulled up my proverbial BGP's and sold it (and the others) on Poshmark. I didn't make a whole lot of money, but that wasn't my intention. I feel like I didn't waste money.
Now - and this is partially due to this thread - I think really hard before purchasing things - purses, clothes and - yes believe it or not  - scarves.

That’s great!

Yeah, really dealing with the aftermath of cleaning out and selling has me being pickier over time. Gotta think long and hard sometimes. Don’t want to repeat the same mistakes again.

I used to be really bugged by car salesMEN. Then the last two times I bought a car, the SA was a woman. Wow. It made all the difference in the world! I don't want to sound like a reverse-sexist or anything, but in each case the experience was extremely professional, all my questions about reliability and so on were answered with care & attention, and I left the showroom actually feeling happy to have spent my $$$.

YES.

They can be so sexist. There was one that wasn’t but it wasn’t for a car I liked. The one woman we have was pleasant and actually was the best in showing what there was to offer.

Some of the men didn’t even want to pull out a specific car! Like this one should do. No, it won’t! They think they can smooth talk us into buying what we didn’t want.

It wouldn’t be until I took DBF by the arm saying “they don’t have what we want, I’m not wasting time here.” That they finally agreed to get a car as close to our specs.

This car has to be enjoyable since we keep them till they die. I don’t want some jerk pushing us around to get a car we don’t need or want.

Also, I feel cars have gotten unnecessarily complicated. Why do I need my car to be my phone too? Weren’t we supposed to have less ability to be distracted? One car has built in wifi. Why?

I'm sooo restless! My Massaccesi early Black Friday bag has arrived at my sister's and the Mulberry at my niece's. Both remain unboxed as of this hour! I want at least photos!!! But of course I cannot impose!

In contrast, I already received a bag I ordered for a friend during the Farfetch sale. It costs $248. And as the value of the item exceeds the de minimis of roughly $195, she had to pay duties and taxes of roughly $100. The trade offs!! Early receipt = additional expense!

The colors on this scarf seem to want an orange, red, or green bag, but I haven't got one. So I will probably carry my black BV pillow bag, which is always perfect. This time of the year, I wish I owned the pillow bag in silver, but I already have too many mini bags plus it seems a bit OTT to have a bag just to carry a few times in December!

Your scarf is gorgeous. I love all the bold colors in it, and the dancer is beautiful. I hope you had a fun time at the ballet. [emoji846]

I understand what you are saying. I don’t wear skin tight leather dresses anymore but I will always wear jeans.
Well, you know...I think there’s hope that black leather leggings would be appropriate for us. Saw that it can be done at Nordstrom recently. The SA and I got a bit chatty, and she told me that she’s 58 years old. She was wearing black leather leggings (!!) with a little detailing on one leg on the side that looked like slashes and made out of different material that was matte. She paired them with a long black tunic sweater and black flats. Looked classy and edgy. The key was that her derrière was covered and she wore more conservative shoes. Otherwise, it would have been a totally different and possibly inappropriate look.

Obviously I've never bought a car, but someone on the Dave Ramsey board posted a few years ago about an experience she had as a woman buying a car. She had been admiring a truck on the lot, and finally went during business hours to check it out. The salesman took forever to even acknowledge her, gave her shrugs, I-don't-knows and half-answers to her questions, refused to look up something on the computer for her, tossed her the keys when she asked for a test drive and then took forever to acknowledge her again when she came back. She told her brother about it and they went back together the next day. She stayed in the car. He got out. The SAME salesman walked right up to him, gave complete answers to all of the same questions she had asked, even offered to knock $1000 off the price. When he asked if he was ready to do the deal, he was shocked when the brother declined, pointed out his sister sitting in the car and said "Why couldn't you tell HER all that yesterday?" Then he got in the car and drove off.

And my mom said when her dad took her to buy her first car, he had to keep telling the salesman to ask her, talk to her, she's buying the car, not him.

There's most definitely sexism involved in car sales.

Good news from the hematologist ladies! Everything is good with my bone marrow biopsy. No cancer (we knew that), no myeloproliferative disorder (which is what she was looking for), nothing serious going on. She does want me to take an iron supplement though, said the low iron could be causing the platelet issue. And my favorite part, she said I could stop taking the blood thinner. And she said I didn't need to see her again. So yay! I feel much better.

Still have to see the pulmonologist on the 11th. I really have no idea what to expect from that, except that they've done 2 nuclear scans of my lungs, so I know there's nothing bad there or someone would have said something already.
