Best month yet for me.
Great work dcooney4!

Thanks for the thoughts. I’ve ruled out the WOCs, the LV Siena is still a contender, but that particular pillow from eBay was gone the next day. Someone did what I was thinking and went to the authenticators over at the BV thread, got it OKd and bought it at a great price. I was hesitant because it was the silver with the striation through it (forgot the name) and I wasn’t sure it would be bright enough. But the world of bags is abundant, so another will appear. I’m trying not to go too close to list price unless I see it in person.

BV was my first love in high end bags. Right now, I would do that crazy thing of rebuying one I sold if it appeared. I thought the medium Veneta was too tight to access my contents but now I see Venetas as so unique that It wouldn’t be any problem at all. They’re special snowflakes. I’ve sold three and a Campaña and now I only have my two pillows and a black little hobo (not the Veneta.) If I do a ban after the first of the year, I’ll make a declared exemption for (fill in the number) BVs.

Here’s my medium Veneta taken a few years ago in the color Appia. She’s gone but I may find her again (and I got more compliments on this bag then on any other ever … what was I thinking!)

This is a beautiful bag - it looks lovely on you!

Bags in=1 (LC Neo so easy on the wallet and the closet too)

Bags out=2 (Furla tote and Dooney)

SLG In=1 Marc Jacobs little wallette ... 2 card slots, an ID window, a place for bills. I love it for my tiny bag.

YTD
Bags out =14
Bags in = 8
SLGs ... this may be my first one.
Outstanding stats for the month and especially YTD!

Hi ladies! Moving, purging, volunteering, have left me with little time on here, but I have not been craving bags either!
I told myself I am going to buy only 1 bag next year and it's going to some version of pink. I have my eyes on 1 Coach coming out next year, and then I just saw the BV dusty rose hobo (?) And wow.....gorgeous! I don't know if this is a bag or color that can even be bought, maybe second hand?
Sounds like most are doing really great with no purchasing or thoughtful purchases!!
My November was 0 in and 0 out in both bags and slgs.
Well done on the Nov stats. I hope all went smoothly with the move!

My stat for November is ok.

Nothing on SLG. I’m doing great this year for SLG, but flunk so bad in the bag category. Can I blame it on MM? [emoji28]

Anyway, I didn’t shop at all on my Osaka trip which I may count as a success. Nothing caught my eyes. I did buy some new sweaters and plan to come back home and purge my winter travel closet. It’s time I retire some winter gear I’ve been holding on for longer than 10 years that now look ugly on me.
Good job in Nov, especially in not being tempted during your travels. I hope you enjoy tossing the non flattering winter gear.

My lovely red cherry Longchamp Cuir (small) today with white blouse, grey cropped pants and light grey flats. Friday is casual wear day.

Oh and about red as a neutral,
@Sparkletastic
I dont’ wear yellow or orange either, at ALL. I wear cold, vivid jewel tones because they flatter my skin tone the best, so cobalt, fuschia, royal purple, blue-based ruby red with zero orange undertones and cold emerald green with blue undertones.
But that ruby red that I do wear wants an earth toned or black bag to go with it, to my eyes, and the rest of the colors certainly don’t need a cherry red pop next to them or I would look a bit nuts.
Basically red looks great if there’s a very toned down outfit going on, but if you have a lot of bright colors I just don’t think it looks quite as good. Maybe in the middle of summer when it’s all about loud and proud but, I don’t even have a summer toned red, they are a bit too scarlet and subdued to go with my summer clothes.

But yeah this is the second out of two entire outfits in my F/W wardrobe that this bag can be paired with. IMG_1512108011.108559.jpg
I LOVE this color leather, and love the bag, but ....I wear a lot of very close to this color but not quite this color so then the bag would clash. And then the other outfits need a neutral. Darn!

I think I won’t be buying any more colorful clothes, ever., I think little by little I want to add very neutral outfits to my closet so I can occasionally get more use out of colorful bags!! Not that I have many, but I think 15-25% colorful bag situations would make me happier than what I have now which is like 8% of the time I can use a colorful bag.

I used to have nothing but colorful clothes in my closet because I like color. Lots of vibrant brights - clear true red, deep pink and fuchsia, emerald green, cobalt and true blue are my favorites. As you mentioned, that made it hard to wear the colorful bags I wanted to wear.

I intentionally have been moving my closet to more neutrals - black, grey, white for two reasons: 1) because I like clothes with more structural / architectural interest and I think neutrals show that off well and 2) I want to wear colorful bags. Lol!

But as you outlined. It's not either / or. I'm about 55 / 45 neutrals to colors now. I think I'll ultimately land somewhere around 70/30. One things that hampers me in getting more neutrals is it's so hard to find pretty white items. And, as much as I love black, I can't have a majority black closet.
