As an owner of Silver metallic Pillow, and a very biased fan of BV in general, i vote both hands up for BV Pillow in metallic :happydance:
imvho, WOC is a mere WALLET on chain, i.e. despite nice look you hardly will be able to wear it on your puffed coats, it does not fit in much and is good for a 'run on the light' or evenings out.
just my 2 cents

Thanks for the thoughts. I’ve ruled out the WOCs, the LV Siena is still a contender, but that particular pillow from eBay was gone the next day. Someone did what I was thinking and went to the authenticators over at the BV thread, got it OKd and bought it at a great price. I was hesitant because it was the silver with the striation through it (forgot the name) and I wasn’t sure it would be bright enough. But the world of bags is abundant, so another will appear. I’m trying not to go too close to list price unless I see it in person.

BV was my first love in high end bags. Right now, I would do that crazy thing of rebuying one I sold if it appeared. I thought the medium Veneta was too tight to access my contents but now I see Venetas as so unique that It wouldn’t be any problem at all. They’re special snowflakes. I’ve sold three and a Campaña and now I only have my two pillows and a black little hobo (not the Veneta.) If I do a ban after the first of the year, I’ll make a declared exemption for (fill in the number) BVs.

Here’s my medium Veneta taken a few years ago in the color Appia. She’s gone but I may find her again (and I got more compliments on this bag then on any other ever … what was I thinking!)

Appia is such a great colour, very chameleonic and easy to wear, i hope you'll find it again
Medium Veneta is a smaller bag, i know what you mean, but for the colours i have (Armatura and Carmino) i can forgive it without second thought! indeed, they are special!

This is such an interesting question to me, and it is so personal, depending on one’s individual aesthetics and style. I keep hearing that red can be a neutral if your outfits are composed of primarily neutrals like black, gray, navy, tan and creme. But then, that’s how I dress (black, white, gray, navy) and I see red as a pop, not a neutral. It’s a primary color so in a way, it’s more neutral than, say, orange or green. I love what I call “jewel tone neutrals:” sapphire blue, royal blue, emerald green, and some reds (personally I don’t like orange reds).

So I guess it depends on your definition of the word “neutral.” If my wardrobe was comprised of more “peacock clothes” as you put it, I don’t think I could throw a red bag in the mix. But that’s me and I’m pretty boring! :p
I’m the same way. I have never been into charms. I have a few, but don’t think to use them and when I do, I worry about them falling off the bag. SLGs are purely functional to me — I want ones that feel luxe, but they have to function. I have a small Chanel wallet that is perfect. Also a couple of card cases for when I want to downsize, but I always end up transferring back into the wallet. It has exactly the right number of card slots, I don’t have to fold my bills (pet peeve!) and the caviar leather (which I don’t love on bags but do love on this wallet) is both hardy and luxurious. And I hate switching wallets. I also have an LV pochette that is the perfect size and holds the extras, and so that goes from bag to bag as well. Basically, I am too lazy to switch both bags and SLGs, so the SLGs stay constant!
We seem to be on the same page on a number of things. Colors - I don't care for orange reds and rich and bright jewel tones are my favorites.

Red is a semi neutral to me. I can wear it with most things in my wardrobe. But I don't tend to wear things like a yellow dress or orange pants. If I did dress in a lot of brights, I don't thing I'd be able to use much red.
Caviar is perfect for an SLG. And while I change bags daily, I hate changing wallets. So two wallets and three card holders is more than enough for me.

Bags in 0
Bags out 2
Slgs in 1
Slgs out 2
Best month yet for me.
Great job!!

Desert Rose is a soft and subtle pink, as @ElainePG noted. It actually leans more toward mauve than pink, which looks more sophisticated IMO. This shade definitely goes with a lot more in my wardrobe than pinker shades.

Here’s a pic taken in my vehicle with the sunroof open in morning light. The color is true.

And, for reference, here’s a pic of mauve shades that shows that Desert Rose falls in the same color family.

Hi ladies! Moving, purging, volunteering, have left me with little time on here, but I have not been craving bags either!
I told myself I am going to buy only 1 bag next year and it's going to some version of pink. I have my eyes on 1 Coach coming out next year, and then I just saw the BV dusty rose hobo (?) And wow.....gorgeous! I don't know if this is a bag or color that can even be bought, maybe second hand?
Sounds like most are doing really great with no purchasing or thoughtful purchases!!
My November was 0 in and 0 out in both bags and slgs.

Thanks so much for showing the color so nicely. It’s a very beautiful color.

There are two BV pinks that are very similar, Dusty Rose (an older color that is more pink) and Desert Rose (the color of my Cervo Loop and a newer color). I think Desert Rose is still available in the boutiques. Not sure about Dusty Rose; it may be at the outlets?
