I know your right considering I finally went to the dr again for it and I have to ice it twice a day and take anti inflammatory meds for it. I love the look of it though .

If it’s too heavy, it’ll end up as a pretty thing, unused on your shelf.

You know the weight you can carry. I wouldn’t risk needing to sell off yet another bag when you still can return this in favor of one that won’t hurt you.

Kisses to @tenKrat who is the loveliest kama’aina + TPF friend in the world and finally succumbed to all my Jedi mind tricks to get her to send this purse back overseas so I could wear it with my dark brown boots with dark gunmetal hardware on the corset details there on the sides, and be all matchy matchy ridiculous. I’m in seventh heaven now. Thank you!!!!!
Showing my style with my new-to-me MM aura in dark chocolate merinos and dark gunmetal hardware, my first in this style and I really love how it is small but holds my ipad + essentials. My favorite DVF green python print wrap shirt and diesel skinzee jeans with my fave tod’s boots and beloved thrift store find Erich Fend terra cotta wool coat. My mom made the gorgeous emerald colorway wool scarf keeping me so cozy up around my neck and décolleté.
gorgeous color! I love browns. And a great outfit!

@essiedub, @catsinthebag, were you looking for a tote? I recall someone mentioned trying a Céline with belt but it didn’t work for you, was it this one? I use a black pebbled leather Céline small Cabas Phantom with Belt (the one in the picture is grey). It is fairly lightweight, has a good shoulder drop, has a large capacity and has an interior zipped pocket and two flat pockets.

For days when I need a lighter colour large capacity bag I use my Louis Vuitton Mahina L in Poudre. It’s in the middle front row. It’s a smooshy bag both from the leather and the style of bag, it fits comfortably on the shoulder and has a zipped pocket.

Reactions: More bags
You are killing me. That is the exact bag (in any color although I have only seen it in that and black) I’ve come close to buying preloved because I have loved it, it has screamed at me since I first saw it. I have hemmed and hawed over it for my entire year and a half on TPF and I ended up every time feeling like I could get two non-premier new bags for the same price as that preloved bag, and you know what? In the end, looking back a year after the last time I gave it a lot of thought, I really should have skipped even 3 of the non-premier purchases and just get that bag because I love it so.
You live, you learn . Hey at least can I sign up first in line if you ever rehome it, you message me first? I’m sure that day will be so far in the future if ever, I won’t be banning then! Or I’ll break ban!

I'm somewhat glad I pulled the trigger on the Mulberry bag I have been wanting for some time. If not, I would have bought something from the sales (which will be filler(s)) and then delay purchase of the bag I really want and then eventually buy it. I have so many other expenses this period so I should manage funds really well.

I just said in the Ban Island thread that I might head there. We'll see.
You ladies are echoing a thought we always say here. Wait and buy the bag you love. Otherwise you'll end up with 2-3 (or more) filler bags that never satisfy. It's basic common sense but SOOOOO hard to stick to! :hrmm:

I have two Garden Parties and shoulder carry is an issue. The handles have a 6-inch drop, so you can carry it on your shoulder, but if you have thick shoulders, are wearing a heavy coat, or the bag is full, it’s not comfortable. The rolled handles aren’t comfortable (in contrast to, say, Longchamp’s handles, which are slightly flattened and therefore much comfier). I used to have three GPs and recently sold one. I’m thinking of selling another and going down to one, but haven’t decided yet because the two colors I have cover all seasons perfectly. Still, it’s a bag I don’t reach for as much as I used to, and the comfort factor is the main reason why.
Is there another tote that would work better for you and have the colors you want? The right strap drop is one of my 3 non negotiables for me on a tote. So I can understand how this can be frustrating for you.

Which brands don’t provide aftercare or provides severely limited aftercare on their bags? Whether it’s old, preloved, purchased new.

I know Dior has been mentioned but are there other brands who take the same stance?

Thanks! 6 inch is definitely too short for me with a winter coat too. I'll need to continue my search. You saved me from the returning hassle.

If you would like to have some introspect questions whether to sell the bag or not, you'll get plenty of help here

I had dh drop me off at a mall that has coach and I gave the bag a quick try . It seemed comfortable on the shoulder but it was mobbed so I could not try my stuff in it. I still like this one the most. The only other one I might have liked they did not have . They say there is a holiday return policy in place . So I guess I will just wait and see.

Great news from Yoogi's on my Fendi bag. When I initially sent them the description and photos, they offered me a buyout price, but it was a range. Even with the range, it was still higher by 30% than Fashionphile, so I decided to take it and I boxed up the bag and shipped it to them.
Yesterday they sent me an email that the bag had arrived, and they had decided to give me the top of their buyout range. Woohoo! :yahoo: They say the $$$ will be coming to me in a day or two. And since I don't have any bag purchases on the horizon, this is pure profit.
Two bags sold this year, and a whole bunch of pouches donated. Also working on a major clothing purge this weekend, with everything going up to my favorite thrift shop on Monday.

Aside from the BV I’m considering, I haven’t found anything that’s the right combo of size, drop, organization, materials and looks. Oh, and luxury but understated. I measured the drop on an old Longchamp leather bag that works for me but has seen better days, and it clocked in at 8 inches.

Just curious, if strap drop is one of your 3 non-negotiables, what are the other 2?

I’m still catching up on this thread so maybe someone has already said this, but I believe Chanel started a policy a year or two ago that they will only service bags that are under 5 years old. That made me start questioning continuing to buy from them, although I have bought a few SLGs since then.
