Changing subjects back from stuff in our bags to the bags themselves...

I wore my Saint Laurent Monogram Cabas bag today. I loved it. But, being brutally honest, it really is a duplicate use to my Fendi BTW. :huh:

But, remember that just before I unpacked and reclaimed the SL, I was saying I needed a second black bag to take the "pressure" off the Fendi?? Now I'm not so sure I do. :doh:

I wouldn't have bought the Fendi if the SL had been in rotation. So, I feel like I should let one go. But, I'm not sure. And, if I did let one go, I don't know which one it would be. So, for right now, I'm thinking.

Please give me your opinions. I need other perspective so I don't run around aimlessly in own my head. :panic:

Sparkletastic I actually don’t think you should sweat this decision. But if you must...my 3 cents...Looks-wise, I think the Fendi is sleeker, possibly lighter, leather smooshier. The YSL looks larger, is it? And if so, is size a factor? Assuming they function the same way, I’d keep the Fendi. I do like the blackness of the YSL logo..very edgy. My view is that since you wanted an alternate for rotation, and you like both, why not keep both? We all know how hard it is to find a tote you like that meets your needs...just saying.

Looks wise I don't think they are duplicates. Fendi is more casual and youthful while YSL is more formal (in a nice way!) and lady like. Both bags really look great and gorgeous! Unless you want another specific black bag, I'd say keep both!

ETA: So depends on the occasion/where you are going, you may still need both.

Thanks for the heads up! Saw it the other day, but you're right, the sale is on bright colors. But I think my priority now is the Mulberry zipped bays. I can't buy the 2 at the same time, need to save first! :smile:

Take your time, I would rotate them for a while and see. There really is a danger that you would get tired of your Fendi and this would be a pity! And, I think, shape, style and hardware colour call for different occasions, too.

Unfortunately, these don't solve my tote needs. These are both medium-ish satchels with about the same capacity (the SL is the "small" size.)

But, your overall point makes a lot of sense. I thought I needed an alternate to my most used bag. So, I need to stop worrying about being super efficient and be happy I have one.

Thanks for the compliments on the bags. That boosts my confidence in them. :amuse: I definitely don't want or need another black satchel now. LOL! I'm glad to hear they look different enough to keep.

Anothet great point. I used my black PS Small Courier so much (because I didn't have either of these bags and needed them) that I've never really gotten over being a bit tired of it. I don't want to get that way with the Fendi. So keeping the SL is probably a good idea for rotation and to keep me happy with all my bags.

If it works, I say keep it going!! Black boots are so amazingly versatile in all but the summer. I can tend to wear mine out and buy them every other year or so.
