Got my whiplash saddle bag in mineral today and it is so beautiful, ugh! The leather is so soft and TDF, and I lovelovelove the contrasting suede and detailing.

I do have a bit of a tiny maybe-issue with it:

I also have some veining on the outer flap, although slightly less noticeable than the above image. I can deal with scratches and the like on glovetanned leather now, but the veining is not for me. Should I send this back for an exchange?

I would definitely exchange it. You can get a bag without veining, which would bother me too.

If it bothers you, definitely exchange. I've had to do that for my Nomad in eggplant, which is why I prefer to buy these in-store when I can. Good luck!

Just got it, but I think I will wear it crossbody. So long strap.

Thanks for the response, ladies! I shipped it back today and already ordered the replacement. Fingers crossed that it is perfect!

Also, lovingmybags, I encountered this on a Nomad, too! I also ended up returning that one. I guess I wanted to make sure I wasn't being unreasonable about it, since an SA had told me that that's part of glovetanned leather's charm...

Hi T. I saw the saddle bag at the store with the strap doubled and I believe you double the strap the same way as a legacy duffle like this:
