Got my whiplash saddle bag in mineral today and it is so beautiful, ugh! The leather is so soft and TDF, and I lovelovelove the contrasting suede and detailing.

I do have a bit of a tiny maybe-issue with it:

I also have some veining on the outer flap, although slightly less noticeable than the above image. I can deal with scratches and the like on glovetanned leather now, but the veining is not for me. Should I send this back for an exchange?
I'd send it back. I had the camel color in this bag and was already on the fence about it. When I looked closer, it had this (which then I couldn't "unsee") so it was the deciding factor for me to return. I ended up getting the mineral instead which was perfect. Definitely want to try another!

Yes!! It's so hard to unsee once you notice it.

It is such a beautiful purse. *dreamy sigh*

Ok, stupid question alert...
How is the strap on this bag doubled? I can't seem to do it in a way that the one buckle side isn't folding in on the leather pretty signifcantly on the one side at the top, which just doesn't look right...
Hoping I'm doing something wrong as I have this ordered in chalk but only intend to keep it if I can double the strap. Was going to try it on another saddle while I waited for the chalk one to arrive.
Thanks in advance from the strap challenged!
Did your chalk whiplash saddle bag arrive?

Not yet...tomorrow. Very curious what my initial thoughts will be & if I'll keep it. I wasn't fond of the saddle with the strap doubled & that was going to be how I wore the chalk one.so I'm in the fence before it is even delivered!
I have a fog & tabac sitting at the house to open. I suspect the fog will be my "neutral" go to bag. Did you get your fog yet?

Update - chalk is at house too! Now just need to get home!

Yes, I got the fog today...it's a very neutral bag that will go with just about everything. Why didn't you like the strap doubled? Does it lack the ease of access when worn that way?

Yes, that was it. It was too high up and although I could still easily access my phone in the back slip, everything else was more difficult. I'm not used to wearing a shoulder bag so its just a personal preference I guess.
I got the Fog and Tabac. Keeping both. They were wrapped HORRIBLY...so badly I took photos of them in the shipping box. The box was huge and then the inside black "gift" boxes were crushed in there (I don't like those new "envelope" style ones for shipping (may be okay for in-store purchases). I dug through the box like a maniac hoping that these bags were going to have damages. But, thankfully, both were fine. I didn't like how the straps were tucked in so I have them both hanging but both in great condition; no marks whatsoever.
I also got the chalk and I already know it's going back. It was in good condition, but had two little marks on the front. Panic set in, again, and I got a little cloth with some cleaner on it and both marks came off. Then I found another and I thought "this is how this bag is going to be forever...constantly looking at it to see what may have gotten on it" so I'm pretty sure it's going back.
Are you keeping your Fog? And what about your Chalk?

I'm on the fence...I think I'm keeping the fog because it will go with everything. I already sent back the whiplash saddle in oxblood as I'm leaning toward keeping the oxblood Rogue and I knew I wouldn't keep both. The whiplash saddle came today. I took it out and tried each one on my shoulder and decided which I liked the best...Rogue won. I want to keep the chalk whiplash saddle because it's so pretty, but I did find myself being extra careful with it when I was touching it that first day, and for that reason I will probably send it back and sadly not have a whiplash saddle bag at all. Question: If you order something over the phone from a store, can you mail the return back to Jacksonville? I'm assuming you can, but I didn't receive an invoice with my bags. I have an email receipt. I guess I would print that out and send that in?
