I also didn't like the strap so long when worn as a shoulder bag, so when my SA doubled it for me, it was instant love. I'm turning into a satchel kind of girl, but i used to be strictly a shoulder bag girl. I think this bag is very easy to get in & out of. The flap is lined in suede so it's soft and easy to open, especially since I doubled the strap. Not to mention the leather smells AMAZING! I paid FP for this baby, and I am not even mad about it! It was worth every penny!

Thanks for the response. I'm going to try doubling one of mine & see how it works. I'm 5' 7" but have reached the age where I'm beginning to shrink (who knows, maybe I'm only 5' 6" now ;) so it'll work over time!

Well, it's the next day, after all of my excitement has worn off, and I'm not feeling all the fringe and understand why you removed yours. If I keep the fringe on, I won't wear it crossbody because I don't like the way the fringe hangs when worn that way. The fringe covers up the pretty detailing on the sides. I still love the color, and the bag is very nice! Teaggle, I may need your help, if you don't mind, in guiding me through removing it.

Thanks to @htappy for the code and I purchased my beechwood Saddle 23 this morning. The bag is absorbing leather gel now and I will sure to start using it soon!

This is my concern. I went into the store and LOVED the leather and bag, but I really am not crazy about the fringe at all. With the PCE I'm thinking I may just make up my mind to get it in camel and oxblood and de-fringe it. Looking forward to hearing how everything goes!
