Well ladies DH gave me card for Christmas with 2k in cash. He tells me this is towards whatever I'm saving for that I don't want him to know about. I guess he pays more attention than I give him credit for. Maybe a Kelly is in my near future. We will see what 2017 brings. Also this is my last post in 2016 thread because I can't keep up with both so I'm off to 2017 strictly.

Hope you feel better soon, and can celebrate with a fantastic feast!
Thank you, bake!
I hope you feel better soon! And I want one of these pouches. Are you happy with its function?
Thanks Sparkle! Today was my first day using it and it worked great for storing my Bal! Kept it upright and close by. The only thing is that little pouch area is quite small. Since I mostly use mini bags it's not too big a problem. DH read the instructions and said if it's a bigger bag, I'm supposed to loosen the pouch so it acts like a net, not sure how well that will work... will try with my KS backpack soon!
Sharing a new purchase. It's not a handbag but it makes me feel happy. And one of my focused purchase goals for 2017 is to fill in a couple of gaps in my jewelry basics so it's on "task".

I had a store credit and it was on sale so I got it for a song.:happydance: My new to me WG & diamond bangle - perfect for casual wear. It was hard to get a good picture so bear with me. LOL! View attachment 3558577
I love it!! So classy and versatile. Beautiful choice!

It's SO SO cute, vink!! Enjoy it  it'll look fab with your Bal

Awh thank you so much Elaine! It's a good thing I dressed up on christmas eve, woke up with food poisoning the next morning and ruined all my christmas plans... No matter, I'm planning to cook DH and myself a belated Christmas meal this weekend
Oh, Liz, WHAT a shame! Terrible to be sick on Christmas. Are you all better now? I hope you enjoy your belated Christmas, and also good luck with the packing! When do you move into your new house????

This is really pretty, spark! Does it have a clasp, or does it just slip over your wrist?

One of my "shop in the closet" goals for 2017 is to wear my bracelets more, even if it's just for a few hours each day. I have a nice collection (including a really gorgeous one that DH bought me for my birthday this year, and my sterling silver charm bracelet that I've had since the 5th grade) but I find I don't bother with them. I definitely don't need more, but I'm going to make it a point to wear the ones I have. Your photo has inspired me! :ghi5:

Fun idea for a present, Missie! You're right, I guess he isn't clueless!

Spark,
I love this. I'm in market for diamond bangle to wear stacked with other bracelets
Thanks!! How / what do you plan to stack? I want a nice WG diamond tennis bracelet but that crazy big expense is not coming up anytime soon.:whut:

I have several YG bracelets that I stack but I only have one other WG and diamond bracelet and it's an abstract design cuff that wouldn't go with this. I also have several sterling silver bracelets from Tiffany (cuff, beads, return, etc.) but again, I don't think they go with this. So it looks like I need to keep adding

YAY! I'm so glad. I don't tend to wear bracelets but decided to make the change. I think they can finish an outfit so nicely.

What is everyone's preference for jewelry metal color? Yellow? White? Rose? Black rhodium? I used to wear only YG. Then about 15ish years ago it was ONLY WG or silver. Now I like everything but the black rhodium. I like mixing it up.

Missie -I think he did very well considering you could not think of anything. It would have been horrible to spend that kind of money on something you only kind of liked.

Love your new bracelet. As far as metal colors I like them all . Though I do not have black rhodium.
I only wear yellow gold, it suits me so much better.
I don't have much rose gold. But, it's really pretty. I like black rhodium on other people but find it too harsh on me.

I can get pretty kooky trying to match my jewelry and handbag hardware. I try not to worry but it can drive me nuts not to match. This is weird because I don't worry about matching my shoes to my bag. I always coordinate them but only match if it just happens to look best for the outfit. And I break other fashion "rules" by wearing winter white after Labor Day, etc. So I don't get why the hardware / jewelry not matching makes me crazy :confused1: That's actually why I picked black hardware for my black YSL workhorse. I didn't want to have a mini panic attack every morning as I picked out jewelry.
