2016 resolution - shopping from my own bag and wallet collection. Any one else?

I'm having a moment.

One of my super hard to find / unicorn / jackalope almost holy grail bags is available for less than I've seen at any time. I had told myself that if I ever found it I was buying ban or no ban. But I really don't want to buy another bag right now!

But, honestly, I may never see this bag again.

What to do???

It looks like I came back right on time. Buy it now before it's gone....you will regret it. This is exception for ban island. I'm waiting to pick you up in the paddle boat right past the guards so we can get to shop mainland.

Is anyone one else going to do the 15 bags in 30 with me in January? Are some of you still going to do the 3 in 30 again?

I'm in to do this challenge. I need to review my bags and map out strategy as I will not be able to use some of my flaps because the colors are strictly for summer. I will look at my semi permanent and my clutches to fill in the gap

I am really craving an oxblood/black cherry bag AND nude/blush.

These are not total neutrals and I still have beige on my to-buy list. But I'm so drawn to those. And forest green.

Talk to me if you have a Bordeaux, Hunter Green, or nude/blush bag and tell me how well it coordinates!

I have both oxblood and blush bags and they literally go with everything. My oxblood is a patent flap bag and the color looks great with greys, pinks, greens etc. it is so versatile and one of the best purchases I have made. My blush nude bag goes with a lot but because it's lambskin I tend to baby it and don't carry as much as I could. It looks amazing with everything also. I'm partial to blush blouses and I think it adds spark when my bags and shirts play off one another

I think I'm going to try it . I just need to decide if I want black or oxblood. In the large tote I have wine and lv browns and Gucci gg also browns. What color do you think? Most of my coats are black and a lot of my boots as well.

I know I'm late but I would vote the oxblood. I love the ide of all black coat and boots with the oxblood colored tote. It's feels more fashionable to me.

Which challenge are you doing 3 in 31 or 15 in 31? I had to dig deep to find bags for the 15 with wintry weather ahead.

Help! Can I get your opinions on my Chanel black patent jumbo - keep or sell? I like the bag but since I bought it I've grown less fond of patent leather (it's the only PL bag I own).

Keep - The patent leather is pretty sturdy and great in all weather. Selling a high value bag is risky and I would lose several hundred dollars on the sale which kills me. Lamb is delicate and the quilts can depuff

Sell - I prefer the look and feel of the lambskin. The patent feels too flashy sometimes. I'd probably wear the lamb a teeny bit more.

I love the look of the black patent. I also have a rule never to part with Chanel jumbo single flaps. I think the black lamb is nice but will you really carry it it? They really are two totally different bags in my opinion as patent is edgier and the lambskin is more reserved. When your reaching for black Chanel which of the two girls are you leaning towards edgy spark or conservative spark?

I was going to do the 15 in 31 but that would require huge effort due to the weather, so I'm going with the 3 in 31? Maybe we can do the 15 in 31 once the weather breaks

Probably I'm being more edgy / take no prisoners Spark. It isn't a quiet bag. LOL!

I'm struggling with this a lot. Since I have the patent in hand it's hard to part with it. I like it, I use it, it's single flap and selling is a hassle. I posted this question on the Chanel forum and the overwhelming opinion was sell. I dunno.

BTW - have you seen the crazy prices recently on the 10c red jumbo we have??? I've seen several going for well over $5k and one is posted on Tradesy for over $7k. What the what???

I'm glad we snapped them up when we did. It's made me put adding another pristine single flap (at a steal price of course - Mama's not paying $5k for a Chanel flap) on my list of buys for 2017. It's getting kooky out there. I have no idea what color I'd want. I have red, black and ivory. Maybe navy, camel or even pink? Or perhaps a vintage black with the 24k YG hardware? Hmmm... Whatever I get, it will likely be lamb or soft caviar. I'm the oddball that isn't crazy about rigid caviar.

I say that it's a keeper based off your response. It's a gorgeous bag and I sometimes feel that the Chanel forum ladies tend to be rather conservative overall IMO.

I saw the one for 7k and was like no way. I'm so glad that I saw yours and went on active hunt and scored mine. No way am I paying even 5k for a single flap. Around 4K give or take a few hundred is my limit. A new Chanel flap is always great addition. I think soft caviar in pink as I know how your wanting that combo. I will keep eye out for you

ETA: I mean 31, of course! 30 days has September, April, June... and all the rest of it. 31 days in January, LOL! I'll have to chose a "carefree" bag as one of my three, since we tend to get a lot of rain in January here on the coast. This will be an interesting challenge!

I'll go with 15. I have a wedding to attend and a trip in the second week of the month. I need 2 bags already. I know I can wear 1 bag for the rest of the month with no problem, but I'd like to have some space and that'll make 4 bags. And since it's a challenge, I figure I'll just do 15. It's a challenge after all and it's something I've never done before.

Can I count it if I wear it for a couple hours in the evening, like going to the event? Or I supposed to wear it full day? I need to plan.

Sometimes, I get one for new year from my brother in-law's GF though, but I do have gifts for everyone prepared. I'm waiting for DD's gift to arrive since It'll be my last piece in the gift puzzle. I'm sure your gift of the house will be the most marvelous one.

how nice of you to prepare gifts for everyone We did gifts for family and some close friends this year but skipped buying gifts for each other (other than stocking stuffers) to save some money, we actually kinda like this idea so this might be our new tradition
