Back to handbags!

So I'm still in my Bally and I think I'll switch to a Longchamp tote next. I haven't carried one in awhile.

Also, for those who like Rebecca Minkoff, there's a TPF collab! It's kinda cool.
http://www.rebeccaminkoff.com/handb...urce=cj&utm_content=7239909&utm_term=11553317

You get to monogram your initials, choose the colors of the leather, zipper, hardware, lining.

I'm not the one who jumps at RM when I see it, but this is really cool. I like when you can put your own touch to things. :)

Is that right, you can also order a Cory Pouch? That's tempting for me.. I really don't want another RM bag after I get my Mini Cupid soon but I'd like to have one of her pouches.

It says in purseblog that it is! -- http://www.purseblog.com/rebecca-minkoff/rebecca-minkoff-x-purseblog-design-way/

Btw, they're offering one of my fave RM linings of all time. This lining was used in older bags!

Are you going to order? :graucho:

Lol! Report back! Where's Jenny? She likes this brand too!

I miss Jenny here. Good thing she still has IG and YT and I see her there from time to time :)

At least they're forever items? I'll seriously never need another winter scarf again.

But silk scarves on the other hand....[emoji16]

Excited to see the scarf too! Do you remember the Hermes scarf I got from a live auction here in my place? It's just in my closet. I don't know how or when I should wear it. Your climate there (and the seasons) is totally different from ours. I'm afraid I'll just ruin it if I use it on ordinary days. I was hoping I could use it for travel this Nov. but mine didn't push through unfortunately (I was South Korea-bound; what a bummer!). Is it ok if it just sits in my closet? Actually, it's more of hanging there. Will try to post pics later.

And because it's shorter, I don't have to wrap it around so much. That gets too hot. I'm so excited to get it this weekend.

I've been bad today. I had a headache so I didn't go in to work. By the time I felt better it was kinda late to be going in so I just went out and treated myself to lunch and a bit of shopping. I bought myself a mug at starbucks and a belt at Nordstrom Rack (plus a second belt for DBF). [emoji85] AGHHH, I'm terrible at bans.

And I just found out DBF bought me the same mug at Starbucks. Haha. Looks like this is going to be a gift for someone. [emoji28] I wonder if I can return it.

And my bag for today for my errands and lunch treat

My boss totally made fun of me for spending my off time getting a car wash. [emoji38] I'm productive even on my sick time.

If only I'm near you, you know who you're going to sell that to! Hahaha!

Lovely PM and your Petit H charm livened it up even more :)

Glad you're feeling better. And congrats on the A!

I have been on break since Tuesday (Thursday mid-morning here now.). I'm wondering if I've made productive use of my time. Tuesday I went to the office mid-morning and brought lunch for some of my staff that were working overtime. Then I went to the beauty salon for some hair treatment and haircut. Then I filed my service application with a different internet service provider. I don't know what is happening with my current internet service. I've reported it 2x and they've checked 2x, and they say there's no problem. I've noticed daily that nearing 6pm I start getting intermittent connection, even more so by 9pm. I have to restart my modem everytime. I am really wondering if somebody is stealing my connection?? (Is this even possible?) Of course the service people come during work hours that is why they don't see any problem. That night, I rearranged some of my bags.

Anyway, 2nd day of my break, I went on a cleanup mode from 9am-3pm. Then I was so tired I stopped for the day, haha! I sorted through 2 side tables with 3 drawers each and 3 other small storage areas in my closet. I could not believe all the junk I managed to store in them. I threw away 2 mid-sized trash can full of junk.

Today, third day, I'm supposed to go over my clothes. I exercised first upon waking up. Now I'm tired, haha, and delaying doing my task. :graucho:

Very productive! I get inspired to clean up when I read you guys are cleaning up as well. With 2 small children plus a three-year old and a newborn baby (both my nephews) in the house, I ALWAYS HAVE TO clear up their mess every single day, but I want a general cleaning kind of cleaning. I want junk out of our closets and cabinets!

I'm on the process of editing my bag content now. I took out some lipstick and indeed changed into a smaller wallet. I even think about change the size of my pouch so I won't be tempted to fill it in. I found my old wallet that I didn't forget but couldn't find when we did a wallet project the other day when I was looking for the keys. So, within a heart beat, I changed into it. :) It's blue and although not as easy to spot as the orange one I had before, I like it more.

In chaos, I also found a long lost small case (a Japanese magazine freebies as usual) that fits my next year planner so I now put it in there and it looks a bit more organized. I found shopping my stash this week has been pretty fun and creative in some way. (Thanks to the inspiration in the planner's community. I'm not up to their level of creative yet, but it's been very fun.) My Kikki K compendium, although beautiful, is a bit too big for my liking. I can see myself using it for meetings, but it's not a portable size. (I should remind myself more often that I shouldn't shop out of boredom and mocked up is very important and a must.)

My brother's wedding is near and my tailor just called she lost my measurement. Arg! Such a painful weekend that I have 2 unexpected things pop up. Normally, I'm fine, but when I also have plans, it's not really pleasant.

So little time, so many things. :) Hope you all have a great Friday!

I think for those of us who wanted to seriously downsize the contents of our bags, we can make a what's in my bag BEFORE AND AFTER downsizing. I actually need one to make me realize that I really don't need to bring the whole house with me esp. when I'm carrying a big bag nor do I need to buy a new small bag just to downsize. What do you think?

My DD is going to be a flower girl on Dec 9 for a friend's wedding and it so happened that the dressmaker bought the wrong color of the cloth she'll use to sew DD's dress! The motif is tiffany blue and she bought a plain blue! I even showed her the color. She's quite old so maybe that's one reason she made the mistake. I hope she gets to return the cloth and have an exchange and not buy a new one. Hope these people involved with yours and DDs dressmaking will sort everything out fast.

Is that right, you can also order a Cory Pouch? That's tempting for me.. I really don't want another RM bag after I get my Mini Cupid soon but I'd like to have one of her pouches.

I am thinking about a Cory pouch too...definitely don't need another bag, but love the idea of a monogrammed pouch to match my black MAM. Giving my DH the link and details and adding the pouch to my Christmas list. [emoji4]

Have a great weekend to you and your family too!

Have fun! I love Peppa Pig! I'm not sure about DD. She likes it, but it's not her favorite. I almost use my LS today, too. (We have the same model, but mine is a floral one.) But I decide to take the Ravi Ravi instead. :) I figure I'll be sitting on the road painting on the floor, this should do a better job. :)

Hope you have a great time.

Thanks guys! The kids really had a great time. We were also with one of my close friends and her DD. Even us adults had fun watching Peppa and her fam. It feels so Christmas-y watching musicals and being around lots of kids and kids at heart, :tender:

The 2 bags I brought with me. I'm glad we brought the Gucci tote bec. after the show, we bought some stuff that were easily shoved inside it. Neat! [emoji4]

That's a nice idea! :) May I also ask for the link? I think I've only opened the article about the collab but not the products and details page. TIA! :)

I'm sure you'll be able to save up for your new home in two years time. We'll be here to see it when you've already bought it. We'd love a home tour :D

Glad you loved your charm; i saw it in action with your PM. So cute! :smile1:

I wish I was able to maintain my weight before DH went home last June. But I have eaten a lot more during that time than have worked out or visited the gym. I was such a procrastinator and I hated myself for doing that and now, I regret it so much, so I'm basically back to zero. Oh well..

Considering how bad I was today I'm not going to be banned until after my trip haha. [emoji85]

[emoji537] I feel like the next few months are like my house-bachelorette party, gotta get the fun bug out before things become serious business (and totally not trying to be offensive, but it's literally the only type of hurrah I can relate this to, haha)

I'll take you guys through my DIY mishaps and hopefully I'll be able to convert a room to a closet. [emoji4]

Don't beat yourself too hard on the weight issue. Just take your small steps of progress again. At least you didn't gain over your starting weight. But small habits. Drink water, choose the healthier option a couple times a day. You can do it!

Vink- love the freebies and the pink Dior!

Lou- can't wait to see your new goodies. Hope you had a great time there.

Eehlers- that is one of my favorite bags that you own.

Bake- you will get that bag eventually I am sure of it.

Finally tried the little red canvas bag for a swim meet. It worked great. It held a lot of stuff and I even put a pen in it which is something I won't do with a handbag .

I hope I get the bag in London. If not, I'll probably have little to declare coming back home haha. I only want that bag!

You can order the pouch but I'm going to pass, since I went Burberry crazy today.

Post pics of your scarf again! Have you thought of framing it? I don't wear mine that often. I only wear it in the office where it's air-conditioned. Don't be afraid to wear it, H silk is very durable. I'm only cautious about water and sweat, but snags are the least of my worries. You could keep it on while at work and then take it off during your commute, considering the humidity.

I wish we could mug trade! Haha. That would be cool but I don't know if something so fragile can cross the Pacific.

Thank you for all the compliments! Turned in my final essay today so to celebrate...

Not to mention a Uniqlo order of a jacket and much needed trousers.

Though, I did go to SCP, and I was not tempted by any other bag beyond that Herbag.
I am eyeing a watch from H, but my focus seems to be on SLGs and accessories. Handbags are not on the radar right now and that's good. I feel good that I'm resisting other bags.

Group question: do you miss anything you've sold/returned? bags, SLGs, accessories? Would you get the item again?

I don't. I don't remember what I've sold. I've kept meticulous records of what I've brought in, but when it comes to outs it just says "1 bag out." This was done to prevent regret by remembering what the item I let go of was. This way, I can't want to buy the item again.

A unique bag, IMHO. :) Agree with DC that the opening is very interesting.
tnx!

Here's the multipurpose case I got as a freebies from a Japanese magazine. It's a collaboration with Paul & Joe as they use the print on the cover. It has many slots inside. I have no idea what I should use it for until I see the adaptation of a usual planner in the planner community. Now, I have my planner, a note pad, a post it, and a smaller notebook just for jotting down misc ideas in it. Quite a piece to keep me happy doodle. :)

And since I've been wanting to change into a pink bag since last week. I plan to use this bag tomorrow. :) I was so scared about getting it dirty and scratched that I have to admit I didn't have any fun carrying it at all. I like how she look, but not the color. And maybe I think her leather is too high maintenance for my daily use, but since last week I've been thinking about using a pink bag, I find myself can't stop thinking about her. So I grabbed her as soon as I packed up my stuff for this week and I feel happier than the last time I took her out. She's my bag and I should put a scratch on her by using her. Not keeping her on shelf, right? :) So, tomorrow morning, I'll take her out. :) I just can't wait. Meanwhile, tonight I'll have to think what should I cut off the haul since she can hold a lot less than the wide horn. :) She's a medium-sized Miss Dior with a long chain. (She's been discontinued for sometime. I'm kind of sad for that. I don't like Diorama that's all over the show now. :( But I have to admit that her chain isn't the most comfortable out there and the one on Diorama seems to be better in that area.) :)

i love the freebie, a lot!! and of course your dior =)

egg - love the MbMJ!

vink - what a cool way to make that case useful for you. Very cute print!

Here's the bag I'll be carrying this week - my classic black MAM with blue zipper track. [emoji173]️

tx! and i love your RM, one of my faves you have.

Bake - love selfridges! Need to watch the royals. Seems fun. Sorry someone got her but perhaps the timing wasn't right. She'll come along again. Your SA knows you want one right?

Eehlers - love everything about that bag. Saw a black one in Vegas and really wanted it but stopped myself since I have a similar bag (MJ little Antonia).

So Vegas was so much fun. I was bad, or actually DH was the bad one and bought me two small bags from the Gucci presale. One of them was the one I gave my mom (bag twins now!) and another was a dusty rose flap chain bag that's a little bigger. Love them both. Has them shipped home because I overspent at the Lululemon outlet and didn't have room in my luggage. They should be here by thanksgiving. Glad to be home though.
oooh can't wait to see!

I love this egg! I also think it's a beautiful bag for the holidays!
tnx!

beautiful scarf! and great finds!

I saw someone buy my dream herbag today. :( I don't think I have much chance here unless I buy more things.

I am eying a watch. I tried one on today and it was gorgeous. But I want the herbag first. I've had my eyes on that bag then the watch.

In happier news, I picked up my scarf and it's gorgeous.

Good to hear that you like the scarf. :) Maybe this isn't your time for the bag. It'll come soon enough. ;)

Thanks! :) I can't believe it feels so new to me. I mean I carried this bag a couple times before, but I don't feel like I remember it that well. I even surprised it has a slip compartment inside both the front and back. But I'm so happy I get over my fear of carrying it today. :)

I think my dad is giving me hints that he likes Lightning. Maybe if there will be no takers til end of 1st quarter next year, we might give it to him. I just also want to make sure he really wants it and will be ready for maintenance works plus extra fund for the annual registration and insurance. Lightning is already 18 years old and we know cars this old are already "sickly" even if you give it TLC (that's the reason why we bought a brand new one in the first place.)

Thank you for encouraging me more about my exercise plan. I wasn't able to go last Thursday bec. I met up with a friend but I was determined to attend yoga class this 8am. Unfortunately it was moved to 5pm and I won't be able to go bec. I promised my kids that we will be watching Peppa Pig Christmas Surprise (mall show) today whcih starts at 2pm. That mall is like 1 hour away from our place and I won't be able to make it on time for yoga class. Anyway, next week, I will clear my sched and won't let anything (well, except emergencies, of course!) get in the way. I sooo want to reach my weight loss goal and be able to fit into my old clothes again. I need to save up for the B Town and buying new clothes won't help me do that.

I wish I was able to maintain my weight before DH went home last June. But I have eaten a lot more during that time than have worked out or visited the gym. I was such a procrastinator and I hated myself for doing that and now, I regret it so much, so I'm basically back to zero. Oh well..

When I was younger (college years and first few years working in the office), I was wondering why grown up women like leather bags. At that time, to me those leather bags look boring and too stiff for my liking. I also didn't know about designer bags. I only got to know them when I became a seller in our local ebay (in 2009). When I finally learned more about handbags, I began to realize why grown up women love leather bags (and designer bags too). And over the years, from 2009 up to present day, I think my taste have changed. DH always teases me that he doesn't gift me a handbag because he said I'm totally at a different level now and that he's afraid I might not like the bag if he buys it himself. He'd rather ask me what bag I want (like when he bought me my first ever RM bag, the MAC) or just give me the money to buy what bag I like :D (which usually happens when it's my birthday or our anniversary and he's not here to celebrate it with me).

Totes are classic for me but I prefer bags that have the option for crossbody wear. I want real leather (love the smell of it!) or coated canvas rather than man-made leather (before I don't even bother). For my utility bags, I like nylon or pvc but only from trusted brands such as Longchamp, Lesporstac (both for nylon) and Lacoste for PVC (bec. they are easy access to buy). And I'm also in the process of downsizing what's in my bag so I am also loving the small bags I have that fit my essentials.

Taking care of a 18-year-old car can be troublesome and quite draining, if the car isn't in a good shape or the owner doesn't know much about car fixing. I can understand that. :(

I stopped going to the gym when I got pregnant and just couldn't go back after that. I keep giving myself excuses that DD need someone to take care of. (We don't have a nanny and well, kids do need someone to take care of, right? ;)) Now that I'm getting older and so as DD, I need to go back to the gym, too. Not only so I can catch up with her when we're playing, it'll be good for my health, too.

I appreciate leather more when I'm older, too. Your post reminds me of when I was young and that I like nylon and fabric bags since they're very durable and so easy to take care of. I don't like PVC or synthetic much. Mostly of the "touch" of the material isn't as nice. And after I got hooked on leather and designer bags, there's no looking back. :)

Crossbody's been a staple in my wardrobe and at some point, I'd say it's my favorite style. Now that my shoulder isn't as strong, I'd say satchel is best coz it gives me an option of a handle. :) I like that I can change how I carry my bag at the moment. ;)

Don't be discourage on your weight loss. ;) Well, it's like dancing. Maybe sometimes we have too much fun and dance a little bit backward. Just get on and move up further then you'll get to your goal. ;)

A little bit update on mine. ;) The tailor said I lose a couple centimeters. Such a surprise for me coz my scale said nothing about it. :)

I'd love to join! I just downsize my stuff today for the Miss Dior and want to see if I can go with it for a week. I really want to lighten my load. Still, the kitchen-sink habit is just so hard to break. Everytime I want something and it's not there, I just keep telling myself, if only I still take it with me everywhere....

I hope you can get it sorted, too. ;) Mine isn't so hard. I went to see her over the weekend and hopefully just pray that she can get it done just in time. Ah... all the waiting. ;)

There's one knitted cap that I regret giving it away. In my state of depression or whatever at the time, I was so upset I put it in a donation box. It's my favorite hat and I couldn't find a replacement since.

Otherwise, no regret.

Vink - love your flap bag as always! :) I was surprised when I moved to a smaller bag - I didn't need a lot of the daily stuff I carry. But, it is as if those little things make up my security blanket. Sometimes I feel I can't live without them.

Lou - I'm thinking of the MJ Antonia in the smallest size. I'm confused about the sizing, is there something smaller than "Small Antonia"? How do you find it? I think I read somewhere here that you said it is so easy to carry. I'm wanting a cube-ish bag. Glad to know you had fun time in Vegas!

LVintage - funny but I only heard about Peppa the Pig from you. :graucho: Obviously, I'm not around kids, hehe. The personalized MAM is tempting, but I already have my forever black RM MAM (basketweave with green zipper track) and my deep red MAM (leather on this is tdf!). Brown I don't carry as much, in fact I just put a brown beautiful older MAB for sale. Possibility is the blue MAM, but, well, the price is a bit high. The most I paid for a MAM is $250. So I'm not sure. Btw, I also didn't know good leathers before. I remember sometime in 2007/2008, I had a nice Arrow bag. Now I realized that was synthetic leather!

Eehlers - always love seeing your black MAMs! Cute charm too!

Bake - I love your Burberry flats!! Maybe it is really after getting your Herbag that you'd feel no urge to buy more (...for a while :D)
