Yay 2015 thread!!

So many amazing resolutions I am really looking forward to 2015!

I can't really remember what my original 2014 resolution was but in 2014 I learned what styles I loved to carry and purged what just didn't work for me. I believe in total I got rid of 6 bags that didn't work for me and added 4 that are perfect for me.

For 2015 I want to keep using what I have and add no more than 3 bags this year. Hopefully only 2 but I'll allow a little swing :)

I didn't do too well with my 2014 resolution. I sold 4 bags and I acquired 7 bags :lolots:

I even have comparison shots from my 2014 to 2015 bag collection!

My 2015 resolution is to buy only 1 bag. I know I can do it after this year.

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this group (though I was lurker for some of the posts on the 2014 thread). I truly admire all of you for your efforts, whether goals were missed or achieved.

2014 was kind of a hot mess for me in regards to bags. I sold many, and bought many. Heck, I've bought THREE new ones since Black friday (ahhh!!). But to my slight defense, I actually live in two different states right now. My husband works in a different city and I travel A LOT to maintain our house and also maintain my career elsewhere. Thus, I have two handbag collections.

Good news is I'm moving back in permanently with my husband in May 2015. Bad news is I know when my two collections meet, that it will be one of those shocker moments of "OMG why do I have THIS many bags?!". So right now I can justify it but for 2015 I know I will need to sell and downsize and NOT add more. This will be incredibly difficult for me since I use shopping as a way to relieve stress sometimes (I know its not healthy but my career is super stressful as I try to make it back to my husband).

Anyways, 2015 goal is to not take in as many as I sell. So if I sell 10 then I can buy 10. But I really hope I just keep it where its at.

Thanks for letting me share :) Happy Holidays.

Welcome! And congrats on moving back in with your dh soon, May will be just around the corner :) Can't wait to see your collection, especially when they meet - sounds epic! Happy Holidays!!
I do! I would love a Chanel GST but since I read they are being discontinued I'm not sure what my chances are.

I gave my Mum my Chanel Medallion and LV Alma in DE, so I'd love one more Chanel.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I came across my HG that was discontinued, after 5+ years. It will happen!

Hi everyone!

I've been a long time lurker and occasional poster, but after reading all of your inspirational resolutions I decided to join in!

I didn't have a resolution for 2014, really, aside from thinking "I want to slow down" (relative to 2013). 2013 was when I started my bag collection with Coach and Kate Spade, ending it with my first Mansur Gavriel (~7 bags that year, plus a few SLGs). 2014 saw the addition of three new MG bags and one Coach metallic gold mini borough bag that I just purchased from the outlets. If I add up all of my purchases and gifts, I currently have 14 bags.

My 2015 resolution is to keep my bag collection at 15 flat. Aside from one new bag, some in my current collection will have to go if I want to buy more. I like keeping a manageable collection so that I'll reach for every single bag I have, and I feel like the right number for me is around 15!

Good luck everyone with your resolutions! I'll chime in with pictures here and there from now on.

Hello everyone! I would like to join the 2015 thread and work on downsizing my closet and weed out the bags I don't use. I want to buy a max of two bags but not sure what yet. I look forward to a great year and staying strong. YES to strength in numbers...😃

Wow, hard to believe it's almost 2015! I'm happy to find friends, names I recognize from other threads and new ones too!!

It was fun to try to find my "purse resolutions" for 2014, and I did. It was to add 1 or 2 MJ quilted wallets to my collection. This was accomplished; a quilted Lex in cognac and another in black. Both have become major workhorses in my collection. 3 other slg's got added along the way too, all very functional. My only other resolution was that my purchases be well thought out; not impulse buys. With a lot of help from the members on the 2014 thread I think I managed to accomplish this too! I am happy with all of my 2014 bag and slg purchases.

So how did I do? 4 bags in, 3 out. 5 slg's in, 7 out, yay!

2014 was the year of the major closet purge, especially with clothing and shoes!

I plan to add one "free" bag in 2015. If I add any others I am committing to the one in, one out rule; we'll see how this goes. ;)

I don't plan on adding any more slg's, and this may actually be the hardest for me! They're so darn cute, soo small; I can just hide them in my closet and it's almost like they're not even there! They also feel to me like a stealth or secret luxury; unless it's someone like a tpf'er, no one else even notices what it is, lol!

2014 resolutions:

1. Keep clothing purchases to $250 a month or $3000 the entire year - Did ok on this. With only a few days of 2014 remaining, I've spent about $2,000 on clothing the entire year.

2. Limit to only one pair of footwear per month or 12 the entire year - MAJOR MAJOR FAIL. i've purchased 15 pairs this year (no designer pair, but still)

2015 resolutions

1. Limit clothing purchases to $100 a month, or $1,200 the entire year - this is doable especially since I hope to learn from my mistakes in 2014. I bought a lot of outerwear and tops, need to cut back on those.

2. Only 6 pairs of footwear limit in 2015, and cannot buy unless I retire or give away a pair of shoes from my current closetful

3. Only two bags in 2015, and only when I've lost my target of 30 pounds.

4. Bag closet purge! I currently have around 50 purses (half premier designers). It's difficult to sell bags where I live so i have to find a way to cut back somehow.
