2015 resolution - shopping from my own bag and wallet collection. Any one else?

2014 resolution was DOA by Spring. I don't feel bad though because I really did think about every purchase and am happy with my pieces.

For 2015: Stick to the goal of adding no more than 3-4 bags. I know for sure I want to add LV speedy in Azur. Since I will only use it for spring/summer I'll be watching preloved sites. The lockit can wait until the perfect one comes along. By the end of the year get the gucci vintage web too. I don't want to add more but am realistic. I am pretty content with everything I wanted or ever wanted.

I guess I could try this again, although I have a hard time keeping up with this thread.

For 2014, I said there were 3 bags on my wishlist and I really wanted them to have silver hardware.

I ended up getting 8 bags. :shame: Only 3 styles though. Most were small bags.

4 were coach duffles, 3 borough bags and a highrise. Nearly all had silver hardware or neutral (dark) hardware. The little black duffle was the one I really needed. The others filled missing niches, except the colorblock mini borough which is just cool.

For 2015, if I see the perfect little simple-but-interesting-somewhat-professional-but-versatile black leather bag with silver hardware, I'll get it. Otherwise I am trying not to shop outside my closet until 2016. The wardrobe is pretty complete except for strappy black wedge sandals. I'm going to be picky about those too.

I'm sure I wrote this somewhere before :thinkin: Good to recap though.

In 2013 I bought an Animalier karung Bright but I sold 15 vintage bags including some crocs!!! Some of them I didn't get much for but they made a dent in 'Handbag Mountain'. I also bought a new H wallet before the price rises, that was at the very end of the year. I almost bought an extremely gorgeous new BB ghw, something I had always wanted, but I let the dream go because my house/family had to take priority :sweatdrop::angel:

2014, I bought bags/things that have been on my wish-list forever, now or never in view of the MAD price hikes. I bought 2 H bags, a Bambou Plume and vintage croc. I always wanted a strong H green, love Swift leather and a Plume 32, so it was meant to be :D. I wanted another H but it never came in. I managed to purchase a new BV intrecciato hobo to complete my BV collection. I also bought a ridiculous amount of scarves and now or never H pieces jewellery, seasonal colour belts etc but no wallets, SLGs and hardly any RTW. I sold a few more vintage bags as I was going through things.

The best news was that I found 3 bags that I thought I would never see again. My navy MJ Blake with red suede interior and contrast stitching shw. A MbMJ messenger and my beloved Gucci Ltd Ed Jade Horse-bit Chain shoulder bag with rghw. :yahoo:

Next year '15, I'll try to buy the H that never came in this year (if i've saved enough). If it doesn't come in I wouldn't even worry. Perhaps a new Gucci will blow me away but I doubt it, I have such great bags, something new would have to be better than what I have already. I think it will be a bit like 2013.

Hi, I would like to join for 2015 :smile1: I currently have 2 closets full of stuff and only wear/use about 20 percent of it. These are my resolutions:

1. Buy no clothing at all. I have so much clothing. I posted about this on the decluttering thread too. I need to work with what I have, and hopefully lose a bit of weight and expand the range of what I wear as a result. The only exception to this resolution is bras, if I can lose enough weight to need new ones.

2. Buy no accessories and use the ones I have. I only have about 8 - 10 purses, and like the ones that I have. But I rarely carry them. I feel like I need to put myself together adequately before I can carry a purse, and I hit that standard rarely. Plus I carry a big tote at work. I need to use them or sell them - my closet isn't a purse museum!

3. Get rid of all unworn items at the end of 2015. The only exception to this might be a formal dress or something rarely worn (fancy clutch) that still fits. Everything else goes.

4. Photograph outfits daily. This will help me to learn what looks good and what I do wear in order to make better decisions in the future.

5. Build Pandora bracelet 10 pounds at a time. With each 10 pounds I lose, I get a new bead. I will post pics of it as it grows - it is empty now as I just got it! I really want my first bead to be a cat because my sweet cat just passed away this week. It motivates me to work hard - I want a memento that always reminds me that my sweet kitty is still with me.

Those are my goals! They might seem a little extreme, but I want to make big changes this year. Thank you for letting me participate here - I hope to support others too!

This looks like fun! For 2014, I didn't have a resolution, but more of a goal to build my collection. In terms of premier designers, all I owned prior to 2014 was a YSL clutch in black patent leather. Trying to upgrade from a healthy collection of Coach, Tory Burch and Michael Kors. So far, I've purchased one Proenza Schouler PS1 and will add a Givenchy Antigona on Christmas Day.

For 2015, I have two bags on my wish list. The Prada Saffiano Cuir Double Bag in Black or Grey and the Gucci Soho Disco Bag in Red. I'd also like to purchase a new wallet. Non-bag related, I am still obsessed with the Valentino Rockstud Pumps and this might be the year to finally indulge.

Here's to a fruitful 2015! I know I'll need it with this wish list :)

I'm so sorry for your loss. And these sound like great goals. :)

Those would be beautiful additions to your collection - I can't wait to see them when you get them =)

I'd say I dont have a collection that I can comfortably choose from. So this year I'd have to work on adding a perfect black bag

After that I think I'm good
+1 on the black bag - I might go for a nylon option.

I'd like to join too!

2014-I sold about 10 LV, Chanel, Prada wallets and purses. I also sold a few watches I haven't worn in years and cleaned out the closet. 2014 was a very good H year for me (not for my wallet). I bought 3 H bags from June-November. I got my dream BBK 32, maxi box, and medor. I also bought a lot of H scarves in 2014 to be framed as art. All of the spending has to stop in 2015! (The BBK was bought 3 weeks before I closed on my new house!)

2015-I would like 1 small wallet and 1 or 2 more H bags. I would also rotate my bags more often then I have been in the past few years.

That's all I can think of right now.

lovely, congrats on all of them!
