2 out of 4 packages have already been returned. I love the BV bag and the black boots, the black shoes are still to be delivered.
I also had a thorough look into my closet and put 12 articles up for auction on ebay. I hope they will sell well, but my first priority is to get the things out of my house.
Wow, you're on a roll! Good luck with your sales!
After one more purchase, I'll be shopping in my own closet.
Ooh, do you have something special in mind?

Here is a question , what bag do you reach most? It does not need to cost much and it still counts even a canvas tote etc. Just curious to see what really gets used the most. For me lately it is whatever crossbody goes with what I have on. What about you?
I finished off last year really using my cole haan tote a lot, and my nylon D&B satchel. I don't have my stylebook app but I think these two bags were also very high on my 'most used' list.

Btw, I am seeing that backback is coming back into fashion. What is your opinion - yes or no? I used to wear one in university but now can't imagine doing that any more. Only for traveling.
I see tons of MCM backpacks and it makes me want haha. But I'm realistic that I likely not use them except for travel, in whcih case, my MIL had given me one last year which I think will do fine util this trend passes - it's hot pink and has gold hardware and can be changed into a crossbody.

I'm really enjoying reading everyone's thoughts and goals for the year ahead, I brought quite a lot last year without much though as to what I really needed (I don't NEED anything) and to be honest I'm feeling abit flat and bored of thinking where's the next purchase coming from what sales bargins can I find! It's exhausting, so I've made a list of things for this year.

Chanel cerf

Ysl chyc

Mulberry willow

Alexander McQueen scarf

LV neverfull

Tiffany arrow bracelet

Black jeans

Simple!! I do need a small clutch for evening and a new purse but the items above have been spinning round my head for ages, it's good to have a list to work too and (try) to stick too, I'm good at clearing my. Wardrobe but to be honest I still don't like what I have, I'm thinking of getting my colours done and having a style day ect to sort me out!!

Not sure if I've contributed to your thread or just rambled on, feels good to have it all written down though

This is a great list and writing things down always help. Plus it will feel even better to cross them off your list once you've acquired the exact things you were looking for =)

Hello, am I ok to join late

I started buying my first designer bag in 2012, just one a Michael Kors, managed perfectly fine...and then bam! 2013 halfway through the year the addiction started and I bought 15. These were mainly Michael Kors, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Lulu Guinness so it didn't get too bad.

Then 2014 started, and it was 28. The prices had also risen, with a few being Mulberry's, and I made my first LV bag purchase. Looking down the list I'm not quite sure why I was making so many purchases, I think maybe it was the rush of buying, and quite possibly a self esteem thing. I'd always been great at saving but for the first time I found myself in my overdraft, and I did not like it!

I need to realise that I do not NEED so many bags, and my current lifestyle (university healthcare course) is not the right time to be making so many purchases.

I've gone through my bag list, and have chosen bags to consign.

I have 18 bags going into 2015 that I'm keeping, 2 currently unworn.

1 Longchamp, 1 Louis Vuitton, 1 Lulu Guinness, 1 Rebecca Minkoff, 1 Kipling, 1 Eastpak, 1 Leather Satchel Company, 1 Zatchels, 2 Cath Kidstons, 3 Marc by Marc Jacobs, 5 Mulberry's.

I have enough practical ones for uni placements, but enough for me to still have a nice bag collection for weekends .

I've decided on a bag wish list;

Mulberry Bayswater Black with Nickel hardware.

Mulberry Bayswater Oxblood, NVT leather.

Mulberry Small Del Rey Black Nickel hardware.

LV Speedy Bandouliere Damier Ebene either 25 or 30 (probably 30).

Longchamp long handled Le pliage bilberry.

Clothes wise I'd like some knee length leather boots, maybe some short black Frye biker boots, some black leather brogues and some new Uggs. I'll probably need new jeans, and a new cashmere cardigan. I'd like a small purse, but unsure of brand.

I'm going to try really hard to not get too obsessed with buying, and make much less purchases, on bags, clothes, and my other vice, make up and toiletries.
Welcome! Never too late! You have a great collection and your wish list looks great!

I assume zcp = zippy coin purse? And that's your main wallet? I would like to pick up a new wallet this year and was thinking of the zippy compact. But I'm thinking the zippy coin purse would probably serve my needs and is much cheaper.

yup, that's what it means! and I've been eyeing it for a good while now. I think I would have to stick with the zcp because I carry a lot of cards as it is .. if you get one, we might be wallet quadruplets with cupcakegirl and dcooney haha

If DE is your fave print, then I say get that (plus we can be twins!). One added plus for the DE is the dark brown interior... it doesn't show marks from coins.

Ok, shutting up now... ;)

Egg- We would be triplets ,but also shutting up now!:graucho:
you guys... stay away from me! LOL j/kj/k. I'd LOVE to be wallet triplets with you guys. Actually, last year I did have the money through selling my other items but just couldn't pull the trigger... I think I really want to let go of a few more wallets before I buy it because I think it will be one I use a lot and I would feel bad further neglecting the ones I'm already not using much. I'm trying to use them all this year to see how I feel and then decide which ones I will let go of.

This morning I went to Tj Maxx to pick up another pair of yoga pants , and saw a Dooney & Bourke small barrel pouch in nylon. It was so cute and the strap actually went on my shoulder with my ski jacket on. I took a deep breath and put it back. It was so affordable and cute and great for quick runs to the market. I make no promises if it is still there the next time I go in. It would even work for holding some of my drawing supplies.
Way to resist! Agreed, second time around, I think it's fair game haha.

True to my resolutions for this year I have been thinking about my Prada Saffiano tote a lot and as much as I love it I just don't use it and wish I'd bought a larger zipped model now. So I took the bag to a consignment shop today and it's with them now, hopefully it will get a good offer. I will disappointed if not. Anyway...to fill the gaps that I have I have bought myself one of the bags I said I would; a Longchamp Le Pliage in Amethyst. It was on sale at a jewellery store which also sells Mont Blanc and Smythson...it was actually cheaper than the sale price currently on the Longchamp website :) Have already used today, the picture is taken with some parcels in that I took to the post office. Have also been wardrobe purging :)

I hope they offer you a good price for it! Lovely color on your pilage, such a happy color!

Bake - I think it was a good idea to decide to not get the WOC and see hwo you still feel about the mon mono. Sometimes being on holidays can trigger the impulse buy like crazy. There are a lot of places with inspired bags so maybe you can buy one and test it out to see if it really suits you.

Sorry if I left anyone out - this thread moves super fast and our quote amounts are limited so it's actually taken me a good half hour+ to read and try to quote everyone.

Today, I am using a canvas tote bag from Chapters that my friend passed on to me the other day. I will not be including this in my regular collection as I replaced it with a bag that I normally use for major throw-around (said bag has been donated - still keeping with the one in one out rule to minimize clutter!; this new bag is actually much better looking and more versatile). This new to me bag is in testing phases right now while I decide whether or not to even keep it - so far it is doing well and i think it will be a good wkd/travel companion and an easy summer bag to take to farmer's markets. I actually hauled my groceries in it today lol. I'll post pics when I decide what to do with it.

Thanks! I may end up getting it soon, in DE, depending on how my sales go/when the price increase is. I usually don't carry too many cards, plus I will probably still carry my BV coin purse for business cards or something. So I think the zcp would work!

I'll look forward to your reveal =) I think I want to let go of a few more wallets before I get mine. If I don't let go of any wallets, then maybe I'll get it when/if I bring my bag count down significantly.

Good idea! We can motivate each other too to stay on track for training.

I love that we can help each other stay on track. I used to run a lot but dropped off last August. Now I have to be strict to get back into it. It's what I do start get into a habit.

I am 5' 9" . I am open to other dressier crossbody options as well. My main requirements are that it is comfortable on the shoulder and easy to take care of and use. I do not want buy anything yet. I want to think about it for a while. Half the time I think the research is more fun then the actual purchase or the hunt. Do you enjoy researching bags and finding them at a decent price or are you more into instant gratification when you buy bags?

I love the research and hunt for the bag more. I actually researched the Pashli since last summer and it sat on the back burner. When I was cruising my Nordstrom wishlist I noticed one of the ones I liked when on super sale and decided to hunt it down. I'm so happy I got it but I have yet to pull it out. Maybe in a few weeks I will.

Hmmm.... I am pretty good at rotating to coordinate. I tend to have lot of top handles. I switch out pretty often now since I feel guilty not using bags. But if I have to pick the easiest bag, it would be a crossbody since half the time I'm holding a kid or holding hands with kids. But the style of bag I want to carry the most is a satchel.

Crossbody, that's why I am planning to buy one in neutral, like in black next.

Btw, I am seeing that backback is coming back into fashion. What is your opinion - yes or no? I used to wear one in university but now can't imagine doing that any more. Only for traveling.

For me, no. They are cute but the only backpack I have is a Jansport for day trips so DH can carry snacks. And even then I think DH took it over for when he goes swimming. I don't think I could pull it off.

Welcome and we're here to help. I used to buy on a whim but after last year with these lovely ladies I started to really think about my purchases.

Going to have to go check out the ZCPs next time I'm at the mall... I want a compact and a bigger wallet.

Went shopping today and didn't buy a bag or wallet. Had a lot of opportunities but none of them were just right. Got a few necessities like tank tops from the Rack and jammies that I will keep. I did get two tops but DH didn't like how they looked and once I took my designer mask off I realized he was right. Who cares if I saved 90%, if it doesn't look good I don't want it.

I was quite upset that it didn't work out but I'm so much happier knowing I made the right choice to cancel that order. Now I can move on look forward to finding the right bag for me.

That's awesome!!

Hmmmm, this is hard and changes for me all the time. I guess before it was my MAMs or my Linea Pelle Alex Zip Speedy but lately I know it will be my borough. I can't wait to carry her everywhere!

I truly have an equal love for all the bags I reach for. When I'm home, at the end of a workweek, my dining room table has all the bags I've used that week...and it's usually most of them--SLGs as well! When I travel, I make a point to be realistic depending on where I'm going. For instance, the last place I went for a weekend, and I knew I would not be using my Chanel mini. I just took my Speedy Mon Mono and Coach wristlet. It makes me feel better that I'm using all of my bags appropriately.

I store all of mine in their original boxes and they go into a bigger box - my DH laughs at me because I like to put things in things... I very much do! haha

Currently my SLGs are all in boxes, stuffed into a purse that's already in a dust bag, or in my Coach wristlet. I'm looking for a better way because it's irritating seeing all the little boxes here and there. I might do what you do eggtart and put them inside a bigger box.

:D Day 4 of this wonderful new year - shopping from my collection and using my beloved ivory Chloe today:

Beautiful!! This is a bag that I am allowing myself to buy in 2015, in red most likely. I did so much damage with bag purchasing in 2013 and 2014, so I am limiting my purchase this year.
