thank you eggtartapproved! i love chanel and i initially wanted to stay away from the chanel forum but i knew that like a diet, it won't work if i practice too strictly :smile1: i will take it one step at a time. i told my boyfriend (and that's a big step!) that i will limit my chanel spending on SLGs but only for items that i need and have planned to buy anyway (maybe a kisslock too :graucho:). i visit the chanel forum to look and i enjoy just looking. i hope it stays this way.

btw, i was at my local chanel boutique to check out the sale and to wish the crew a happy new year. i am so proud of myself that i did not end up buying two boots that caught my attention. i only bought a small card holder and a bottle of perfume. i am feeling happy about myself :happydance:

Baby steps are good, bag heaven. I was in the exact same spot as you last year. Chanel obsessed and spending way too much $. I know I keep repeating myself, but the ladies here have really helped me curb my buying.

Bake it sounds like you have come down with a serious case of WOC fever. As your doctor, my Rx is to enjoy your new Evelyne and Longchamps

Also I noticed you slipped in "save up for a wedding" - congrats!!! :woot:

LVk8, I think I will accept this prescription. I do have WOC fever. And I haven't even really worn my 3 new bags.

And despite the comparison between the prices here and at home, I can live with not getting it. Though it is gorgeous, I haven't fully considered if it will fill a gap in my wardrobe. I don't change wallets often, the only time I seem to have done it after getting my ZCP is for my travel wallet/agenda.

I also have to consider if I'm wanting a WOC just because it's a cheaper "flap" DBF asked if I would rather have an actual boy bag instead. In which I would have to wait ages for because yes, DBF and I are planning a wedding. It won't be for a few more years as we also wish to buy a home at the same time frame so I do have to hold my end of the deal.

So to bring a couple more souvenirs home, I may drop by Chanel for a little brooch or something but no WOC this time.

But I do appreciate all the input, which brought up lots of valid points and beautiful pictures to debate my purchase upon. I'll keep it in mind for when it is time for me to buy a WOC.

Plus we may end up in the UK again. We haven't decided where our 2015 trip will be and my family is insisting more visits. Haha.

As far as the mon mono, I will give myself a few weeks to decide if that is what I need at the moment as well.
But the Speedy B is my favourite bag, so another in mon mono would be great.

I seriously can't wait to share.

Also anyone who is considering the Burberry cross body bag I have, I highly recommend it. It's withstood my travels, rain, being shoved under a coat, and holds a bunch of necessary items with ease.

OMG, I was starting to get woc fever too. I was starting to feel the Chanel itch too. Thank goodness lv and Jenny stepped in as the voice of reason for both Bake AND me!! Haha... I am going to crawl back into my closet and pull a Different bag to carry. Besides, I haven't even had time to play with the big christmas pressie from DH.

All the bags pictured are lovely! I can't seem to figure out how to post pics, and my phone cam really isn't the greatest. (Not a smartphone). But I checked the tag on my Coach and it's the Madison Carlyle shoulder in black leather. And since I'm having my first granddaughter in March and her name is going to be Madison, it must have been meant to be:). Now I don't feel quite so guilty. But I'm still resolved no more bags until April. Heaven help me if I see one of my HG's on Yoogi's though. As for storage, they're on the top closet shelves in my bedroom and a few in the extra br. I keep them in the dust bags, most have some of the stuffing in them, I usually take out some of it though. My bed is a platform with six storage drawers, also with bags in them. My Vera totes are folded on the closet shelf. I don't have too many wallets, the extras are in a small dresser drawer.

Major congrats on your first granddaughter!! That must be soooo exciting!!

Good grief... page 21 on day 3!!! Guess were at the same pace as the last year's thread!

Before I start catching up, here is what I carried yesterday. My trusty black LC for yet another rainy day! We all went to the mall to check out the sales and the kids wanted to spend some of their xmas money. Hubs was driving so I took a few quick pics in the car... my bag and it's contents.

Love peeking at the insides. Haha...yes, this thread is flying. I can tell 2015 is gonna be just as fun as last year.

True to my resolutions for this year I have been thinking about my Prada Saffiano tote a lot and as much as I love it I just don't use it and wish I'd bought a larger zipped model now. So I took the bag to a consignment shop today and it's with them now, hopefully it will get a good offer. I will disappointed if not. Anyway...to fill the gaps that I have I have bought myself one of the bags I said I would; a Longchamp Le Pliage in Amethyst. It was on sale at a jewellery store which also sells Mont Blanc and Smythson...it was actually cheaper than the sale price currently on the Longchamp website :) Have already used today, the picture is taken with some parcels in that I took to the post office. Have also been wardrobe purging :)

Good job on consigning...and love the le pliage - great color!

Ladies you are all killing me with the Longchamps! I don't think I'll get through another year not getting one. They look like great bags. Jenny - I like the idea of it being a workout bag too. Maybe it will be my reward after my next half marathon at the end of March. I need to seriously train, so not a trail runner.

My next half is in March too!...I took a week off for the holidays and it's been hard to start up again. Mine is not a trail race. It's crazy how much harder trail running is. A le pliage sounds like a great reward. I use my navy large one for everything-travel, beach bag, gym bag.

Am getting into training to run a 10k in May, could use my new Le Pliage to keep my kit in :)

Ooooo first Granddaughter!! That is so exciting! For sure meant to be :) plus one day it will maybe be a very special bag to pass on to her :)

Yeah for LCs! Looking good cupcake!

jenny- That's a LOT of snow! Stay warm! Great LC... love the color.

Thank you cupcake! I'm trying too :)

Diva that sucks that it seemed like handbag fate, but just didn't work out. But good for you for sending it back!

I was quite upset that it didn't work out but I'm so much happier knowing I made the right choice to cancel that order. Now I can move on look forward to finding the right bag for me.

What pretty colored longchamp . I hope you get a lot of money for your Prada.

Bake- Sounds like you are having a lot of fun. Do you find the burberry comfortable without a coat on ? Since I find myself wearing cross body bags quite a bit. I wonder if it would be worth it to buy an LV odeon pm or bloomsbury or your bag.

So far I am just thinking about it. I worry that color transfer on the odeon would drive me nuts. I love the bloomsbury but worry the strap will stay hard and hurt. Yours I do not know much about. Do you think these bags look a bit dressier then my Mz crossbody bags? I have been using my Rebecca Minkoff sawyer 3 pack for when I need to be hands free but a bit dressier for art openings and other occasions , but it is a bit small.

I actually wear my burberry underneath my coat because my coat is oversized and I don't like to constantly have to adjust the strap for over my coat wear or without coat.

I feel it's a little dressier than the MZ Wallace bags, which I lump together with Longchamp in terms of style. I was going to bring the Burberry to the Ritz for tea.

No color transfer issues. It's also shorter than the Bloomsbury. The Bloomsbury is the same length as the Evelyne on me.

The strap isn't as hard as the one on the Bloomsbury, but it's slightly thinner as well in width and thickness.

But I do find it comfortable as long as I don't overload it. And it has to not rest on skin, that hurts no matter what bag it is.

Bake - another thought on your contemplations WOC vs MonMomo... You mentioned your upcoming wedding. Will you take your DBF's name? I think this is also something to consider...

I will be, but I'll always be BB. So I will have my old initials in quite a few of my SLGs, and on the mon mono, but I'm fine with that. :)

Thank you everyone for the support in the WOC debate.

I'll see if I get anything else during my trip (outside duty free, lol). Going to go visit a bunch more museums to keep occupied.

I've got a bit of stuff to do when I get home. Reorganize my handbag storage, return the Ferragamo clutch.

As gorgeous as it is, I have to come to terms that I rarely change wallets. Perhaps a WOC item hasn't been on the list because I probably won't use it as often as I'd like. And mon mono has been on the list since last year. Vacation and sale goggles need to come off.

Ebby- good luck on your sales! And good luck to everyone who is cleaning and selling as well!

Yikes! Just thinking about trying to catch up on this thread is making me tired! JennyErin and cupcake thanks for the RM pic compliments.

cupcake, always like seeing a trusty Le Pliage.

Amor, where's that pressie you're talking about?! I want to play with it too! C'mon! I think you may be holding out on us, lol!

All you runners are making me feel guilty that I skipped yoga today. ;)
Think I'll go rummage around in the kitchen for some chocolate.

dcooney, great willpower!

Ebby, love the color of the Le Pliage. I hope you get a good amount for your Prada.

bake, I think your new plan is a good one! You got your Evelyne, H Clic, 2 Le Pliage's, Laduree keychains, some blouses and probably other goodies; you can get your mon mono back in the states.

Thanks for all the food for thought Bake. DH keeps suggesting that I just get a last LV since I already saved for it. I am not in any rush and am not even sure it should be a LV . I am going to enjoy what I have and check out your bag in person at some point. I am fairly tall so I want to try it on.

I'm feeling guilty of all my treats during my trip. lol I better get to exercising when I get home.

I definitely will get my mon mono when I get home. Maybe not immediately when I get back though lol.

Definitely don't rush. Lol. You all kept me from rushing to Chanel. :) try the Bloomsbury and the Burberry. I had to compare them on. Since you're taller, I think the Bloomsbury would be good on you, but you'd have to break in the strap as it is stiffer than the Burberry.

The Burberry has a very long strap. I have it on the shortest length since I'm 5'2".

Also, the bottle of water I carry won't allow me to close the bag completely. The Bloomsbury will allow that. But again, it was too similar to Evelyne lol.

I am 5' 9" . I am open to other dressier crossbody options as well. My main requirements are that it is comfortable on the shoulder and easy to take care of and use. I do not want buy anything yet. I want to think about it for a while. Half the time I think the research is more fun then the actual purchase or the hunt. Do you enjoy researching bags and finding them at a decent price or are you more into instant gratification when you buy bags?
