I have my lot of black bags too. Most of my Chanels are black. This year I made a point of buying more color.... it’s hard though because Chanel does black so well...

I just received a black goatskin from fashionphile excellent condition no wear at all but the authenticity card does start with 28 - sure hope it is goatskin not lamb - it is shiner than the lamb but has a little more creases but I think most goatskins do - nothing obvious at all - does anyone have a 28 series to assure me it is goatskin As some SA’s don’t even know the difference!!! I know it is probably a 2019 bag and instrad I could keep my new lambskin one but want a more durable bag.

Plus the lambskin cc lock is brushed and the goatskin is bright gold and the goatskin is a darker black???

That goatskin bag sounds awesome with the bright gold hw. My goatskin from 2020 is with brushed gold hw. Do you think you could please post a picture of the goatskin bag with bright gold hw to see it’s beauty? Cheers,

I am so undecided had my lambskin all boxed up ready to send back and unboxed it when friends came over and they all said it looked better than the goatskin one - plus it is brand new and bought before increase at $5100. The goatskin from fashionphile is from 2019 and was $5850. The goatskin one is shiny but the lambskin has a nice sheen too! My friends felt both and said the lambskin feels just as sturdy. I had my heart set on goatskin but now I am thinking I should Keep the lambskin - My husband thinks so too plus my other 5 chanel bags are caviar. HELP?????????????

Sounds like the Lambskin is the one you like. Your husband and your friends like it too! And the price is great too!

If you can, please post a picture of the goatskin with shiny hw?

I have both and I do prefer the look of the lamb over the goat. But for me, while they are both hard wearing, I find the goat to be less high maintenance (but maybe bc it’s black?) and also since the leather is more stiff I don’t worry that it’ll totally lose its shape. The lamb is pretty soft and feels amazing, but is more slouchy for sure. Hope that helps make your decision easier, good luck!!

Thanks for the info - My Lambskin is a black 21A and the goatskin is from 2019 -so we did a test yesterday left both bags empty no tissue paper stuffed in and the goatskin collapses and the lambskin does not - the very top sides of the lampskin are very sturdy and the sides of the bag are smooth and straight but the goatskin‘s are wrinkled. It is 2 yrs old but the lock looks brand new so it appears it was not used much. Maybe it wasn’t stored correctly? There is a you tube video I watched where she had two lambskins ( from different seasons) and one slouched and one didn’t.

omg!! complete opposites, what the heck?! my black goatskin is so sturdy, and my lamb is super floppy haha. I took out the stuffing and stood them up, my lamb is like collapsing into itself! I’m so jealous of yours!! btw, which are you keeping?AE7EDABC-F299-477C-88C9-BF73A94EAAC0.jpeg

Hi ladies. I just got my 19 fresh from the store but there is no date code anywhere inside . Is this normal!? Do any of you not have a date code anywhere in your bags ?? Thank you so much for your help
