^Haven't received it yet. SA rang up my order with ground shipping vs. the 2 day like I requested. fedex website states it's on truck to be delivered today (1 day early) so I'm anxiously waiting. Unfortunately Fedex guy doesn't usually get to my house til about 6p or so and DH will be home. ;) I can't very well open the box then. I have my fingers crossed that it will be the smaller size but I have a feeling it's the larger Besace. We shall see. I will post pics just the same for reference purposes.

That is funny how someone like Taylor can influence the public in such a way as to create demand for a bag that wasn't carried over this season. I've always wanted the Besace but never could find one for some reason when I wanted it.

If mine is too big, I might be going for a hobo instead.

^fingers crossed for you! btw, barney's has the smaller besace in white giant covered hw (not for me at all) and it's a much better size for the shorter ladies. i still can't figure out why taylor looks fine with the maxi since she's pretty short, isn't she? the sa was flabbergasted at the demand for this bag since it has been sitting in the stores for months without any interest. he seems to think that this style will be continued (the models that barney's has/had are from '08) so here's hoping they reissue the smaller size.

Well the Besace arrived yesterday, of course around 5:30P! Had to sneak the box in through the garage.

Good news: Besace was in the smaller size!!!! PERFECT size for us shorter gals. Im 5'2, 105.

BAD NEWS: The bag was in such a state of disrepair I could not believe NM could willingly send this bag to a customer, one of whom paid $1300+ for this bag!!!! The leather on the strap was peeling and severe cracking was occurring. Pics don't do the damage justice. Plus, there was a receipt in the bag and the NM tag was cut and appears to be a return (obviously). The SA id sticker they put on the tags was ripped off and just delapidated.

I'm in utter shock. SA's manager called me not too long ago, profusely apologized. But also stated he could not offer any discount but could re-ring it applying the GC promo to it. No thanks............

They are sending a courier to pick it up for me at no charge...duh NM! Back it goes and I hope it doesn't go back on the shelf!!!! Such gorg chevre leather too.

I attached modeling pics of the small for reference. Forgive the post-pool attire. I'm not dressing up after swimming. ;)

I'm so sorry to hear that your bag was damaged -- I can totally sympathize with you as my PT was sent back --TWICE. Finally received my new one today and am very pleased -- lovely leather and great color saturation. Hope you find your perfect Besace soon. Good Luck!! :smile1:

Your new bag is amazing-when I look online at Barney's, They only have the covered style-do you know if there are any others out there w/the GGH?

the smaller is the perfect size -- too bad! btw my barney's rep said he expects a shipment of new besaces but he has no idea what size, hardware, etc. i am crossing my fingers that they will be the small size.

lvlux, barney's stores still have the maxi in giant hw (both gold and silver). try beverly hills. the smaller size is only available in white with covered hw (both stores and online).

Does anyone know the price of the maxi with GH? I know the GCH is a little over $1,300, but I thought the GH was slightly less expensive than the covered. I desperately want one of these!

Batgirl -- they no longer make the Besace as far as I know -- there are some at Barneys, but don't know if they have GH. I bought a black GGH maxi Besace from the NY store and I love it -- think I paid 1,385 before tax.
