'09 Besace Messengers

CMU- I am finally taking her out for a spin and notice that it is stitched on both sides of the opening. Pictures attached. I am assuming this is for packing purposes and I am suppose to cut those?? If not, I might anyway b/c it makes getting into the main part of the bag really difficult...
ok, so I called BalNYC about this and they said that the tacks are there on purpose to keep the structure of the bag flat. She said I could cut them if I wanted to, but the bag will gape a bit at the top. She said they cut them on a bag at the store and it still looked same, just wider at the top.... hmmmm... to cut or not to cut? That is the question....
Don't cut~!! At least not after you've tested the bag out.. =) and I'd love to see modeling pics as well.. is this the same bag that "Taylor" wears on the Rachel Zoe Show?

Thank you for the pics! I'd been waiting eagerly for them! I have the regular Besace with RH and have been wondering how the Maxi would look.
The Maxi Besace looks great on you (but I worry it might be too large on my 5'3" frame).
And I wouldn't cut the stitching, if I were you. Try it out for a while and see if you can live with the size of the opening. I imagine it would gape quite a fair bit (perhaps too much) if you cut the stitching.

tabbyco -- mine is the same and I'm keeping it like that -- it holds the shape of the bag I'm assuming, so if you did cut the 2 stitches it might compromise the shape of the bag. I, personally wouldn't mess with it, but it's completely up to you. By the way, it looks awesome on you -- don't ya just love it!! It is by far my favorite Bal bag!!
I wore it all weekend and it is a great bag, but I defininetly need another hole punched in the strap.
Oogiewoogie, I also am wanting to know the name of the bag that Taylor wears on the Rachel Zoe Show!! Is hers the smaller or the larger one? And is it called the Besace Messenger bag? Is that the correct name?

Oh and MichK -- if you have ever watched the Rachel Zoe Project, her assistant Taylor has a maxi w/ GSH and she is petite -- so I would say you would look great wearing this type of bag!!
