Ugh, I'm so disappointed if the "bright blue" is a. not too bright and b. freakin floppy! What the hell crack is Chanel smoking to make a structured caviar flap flap so sad that it can't stand up on its own?! I hope there will be some miracle by the time the bags make it to stores and they'll be structured!

I'm supposed to get the medium fuschia caviar flap (and the "bright blue"), but if both are going to be floppy, screw it. Those patent reissue WOCs are absolutely GORGEOUS though... I wish both came in reissues! If I get nothing else, I might get the turquoise patent one.

Hi, Stephanie~ Yeah, the trip was great even though I didn't get to buy a bag as I planned. Well, it was a good thing for my wallet, lol. But not buying a bag made me panic a little and I almost got a Bal or a Lanvin bag (on 50% sale!) at Barneys, which was the last place I went for shopping.

I think I didn't get wowed by Encore mostly because it's not much different from Wynn. And I somehow like prefered Wynn. Perhaps I'm just a bit mad how slots at Encore ate up all my money? But the restaurants were really good and it was nice to see another Chanel, although it was really small.

They actually had Hawaiian DS clutch there so sis got to see it in real life for first time. I was a little disappointed when I saw it in real life about a month ago, and so was the sis this time. We both decided black patent one I got is more us than DS.

And they also had this really cute bag from Paris London collection but ouch! It was really tiny, about size of my palm and priced at $2800!!

Oh, and while I was looking through lookbook at Bellagio, I noticed that the sunnies I got in Paris are from spring 09. Remember the pair you wanted to know more about? I saw that there are supposed to be 2 kinds of black (don't know what's the difference) and tortoise in addition to cream color I got. And if I read the book right, I think there are more styles with the crystal charms like so, with slight difference in shape of the lenses. You should ask to see if they got them in at your boutique so you can try which pair works for you.

Hi, D~ hmmm... I think most ladies here would like 09C Miss Red better. I thought I'd like a brighter red myself too but I just knew I liked my Miss Red better when I saw that maxi in person. And oh! The caviar is so much better for cruise flaps!!

Hmm. I think I may have seen that yellow. If I recall, it was a very small camera bag and, to me, the colour looked like the contents of a very unpleasant nappy.

I think I learned the word nappy from a Brit lit, most likely from Sophia Kinsella's "Shopaholic & Baby." LOL!

There was a very light yellowish mint green lamb for act 2 of last fall collection and I think it was much better than the yellow of this spring. I just said, "ugly, ugly" as I looked at that one and the green lamb when I was at the boutique yesterday. How on earth are they going to sell those colors?

Thanks for sharing the spy pics at the trunk show. That yellow looks weird!!! And I'm so confused about the blue now, is the bottom right a caviar blue or a lambskin blue? Your SA said this isn't the blue everybody is talking about? But I recall that only 2 blues will be made, 1 is very dark navy blue which almost looks like black, and then our dream electric/bright blue. Is this some kind of an "in-between" blue? Oh no!! Which one is which?

BTW, just curious, is the maxi bag on the upper left corner the fuschia color in caviar, and the bottom left corner is the red color in lambskin? Or both are reds? My head is spinning now.....LOL!!!

Hi, Mia~ The two maxis are indeed both reds. One is caviar and the other is lamb. I actually saw the lamb one in Paris. It's very orangey coral kind of color. I thought the other M might like it since it's very orange, but she won't like the leather at all.

I actually saw the pic of navy I think Mon posted, and the one I saw yesterday definitely wasn't it. It was much lighter than that. I would say the color looked like ones you'd see on dark chambray shirts? Or medium dark jeans? I actually liked the color, but the caviar leather felt too thin and soft. And B said there IS another blue coming out, which is supposed to be lighter for sure. It's just nobody knows how it looks yet.

I don't have any more to reveal for now but you know what I'm going to show off tomorrow.

Oh I found a picture of your brooch in the turquoise I'm talking about....hehe...here it is. Ooh...the color you got is prettier than this. Love it love it!!

And I actually saw this turquoise one too, also in Vegas! I'll give you more detail via PM but I thought that one was really cute too. It just happened I saw the multicolor one before seeing that turquoise one and as this brooch is super pricey, I couldn't get both.

Hi, Syma~ How have you been? The blue WOC is even more vibrant in person. It's a very interesting color and two WoCs looked like candies displayed next to each other. I liked both a lot and can't decide which one to get. I might just buy them both and give the one I like a little less to sister. Lol.

I'm really hoping blue caviar is the elusive bright blue everyone wants.

I was fixing sandbitches for the guys this morning and thoughts of Chanel came to mind -- and I the only one who thinks about Chanel stuff this much? Anywho, I thought about the majority of the new products versus things from just a few years ago and the word "reboot" came to mind. Then I saw that yellow! YUCK. How apt your analogy of unripened bananas. Chanel should hire on some members for consulting on colors, quality control, and construction.

The only purse that intrigues me is the blue purse with the discs that form the CCs. From the pics, it looks very nice. Once a lover of flaps, me thinks I've come to the end of the road. I can't imagine a flap that can't stand up for itself.

The thought of bananas came to my mind because I bought a bunch to eat on the way home and most at the grocery store were the same color as the flap from trunk show. Yeek! I don't like my bananas green and I certainly didn't like them on flaps!!

Sister really liked the look of blue tote with discs when she saw the pic of it at this little brochure I got from Paris. But the picture I saw from a trunk show thread didn't look too promising. I think I'll definitely need to see it in real life. I think I'll ditch the flaps this spring as well though and look into totes and such like you.

I saw the dog tag jewelry in the lookbook at Neiman Marcus yesterday. Did you notice the jewelry with the sewing theme? It has charms of spools, scissors, sewing machine, etc.? There was also a line of costume jewelry with flower boquets, I loved everything but it was all so expensive. Why is costume jewelry getting so expensive?

Yeah, Mon. Where else? I went to see the trunk show at Brendan's boutique. But I was there for very short time. I gotta get there earlier next time.

I know which collection you are talking about! It's called Couture and I actually really liked it, because I love whimsical charms and those little charms made me think of my mom. She's been working in garment industry for a quite long time.

I would really love the pearl strand with all the charms but I think it's priced at $2500.ush: So I gotta think about that a little more, especially when I am still not out of being shocked how I paid just a bit less for my carousel necklace. I "might" just get a pendant necklace with the sewing machine but even that costs nearly $1000!

And the other line with camellias is the one I wanted to get and had to think about. BUT I now know I HAVE TO get one no matter what. It's impossible for me to get one that's $6100. Lol. So I'll get the "cheap" version with only three camellias, which still costs whopping $1875! I just have to have Brendan convince me that it's a good idea to pick the multicolor one over the black and white one. Lol.

I hate paying so much bucks for costume jewellery as well but eh... I think I got addicted to it even worse than bags! I so blame Michelle for my latest substance abuse problem I have over Chanel jewelleries.

Yeah. When a SA was showing me $6100 necklace, I was standing next to fine jewellery and couldn't help but say, "If I can afford this, I should be getting something from over there!"

I was pysched when I saw Portobello because I thought they were not available in US. And I knew you were crushed when I told you so before. I "might" get the white and pink myself.

THERE IS ACTUALLY A THIRD DESIGN OF THE DOG TAG!!

It only came in today!! It has a 3D camellia flower and a small dangling CC!!!!!!!! I was like this when I saw it and the SA who knew I got the 3D cross one asked me quietly if I have already worn mine and I whispered back yes and then she just said I could return any unused item to her in exchange for this other design within 14 days...!

You must get the third design too!! I also tried on the bracelet from the same collection!!!

OMG! You know what though, M? I think, I saw something like that from the pic of the belt in the lookbook. But heck. I was in Vegas, which meant I was tired from gambling & shopping and quite possibly drunk to see everything clearly.

I'm just gonna get the third design. Lol. I love long necklaces and especially anything dog tag style. So I'll just splurge one more time and get the other one. I just hope they are getting it here. If not, I have to stalk it until I find one. HK boutiques don't ship overseas, right?

I actually wore both necklaces together as I hung out at the casinos and malls in Vegas. Lol. I just made a knot of one in the back to make it shorter so both can be seen better. Soooo~ Do not get surprised to see me if I am willing to wear all 3 necklaces at once. Or maybe I'll just take the charm off from the chain and wear them on one chain. I noticed that the ring for the charm was big enough to be taken out of the chain.

Help me, M! I need to stop with all my costume jewellery stalking. Oh, we are so bad for each other.

So, the Maxi that is the Orange-est... is that the lamb? Is it as orange looking as it looks? I am really liking it - if it is real orange. Not to happy about the unstructured nature of it, but that orange is great for summer.

Hey gorgeous! Did you happen to see this bag at the trunk show? I was disappointed to hear you say that the caviar flaps are floppy. WTH is going on? Chanel should just keep all flaps firm versus flaccid. If the final release caviar bags are floppy, I'm going to have to pass on the fuchsia jumbo and get this instead.

Hi, hottie~ I don't think I saw that bag at the trunk show. I was expecting the caviar to be like our Miss Reds from cruise, so I was crushed to find out how soft it felt when I played around with blue. It felt like really thinned out leather chairs? Definitely not stiff and shiny like our Miss Reds. I'm going to wait till fuchsia comes out to see if I like the color in real life or not but so far, I don't think I'll like it too much based on way too soft leather I saw yesterday.

And as for the purple flap, shouldn't it be the same size as the accordion flaps from the past? I'm guessing it would be bigger than a med because the ones in same shape from 08P were. Remember the glazed lambskins from 08P with rows of chains on the bottom as "feet" for the bags?

The blue I saw yesterday is supposedly not the blue you are waiting for. B said there would be another blue and it would be lighter. So you still have to wait and see how that one would be. I just didn't think you'd appreciate the caviar they used for spring bags, as it's super soft compared to our Miss Reds.

Urgh. I wish they ordered meds but it turns out that nobody did, when they are getting meds for fuchsia. I think you'll think the patent turquoise WOC is cute, Minal. But just to be safe, try to see it in person because it's very shocking color. Lol. You know how everyone feels differently about colors and you might think that's way too eye popping color to handle. I thought the purple was really nice as well.

The long necklace with all the charms set between pearls (very much like cosmetic one from 08A) is something like $2500. And I think my SA said CC brooch with pair of scissors is a little shy of $600. I also noticed they had earrings with the same jeweled scissors but Mia told me it's a Chinese taboo to wear knives or scissors on your body?

So you might want to look into pendant necklaces. I saw some from the order/reserve book yesterday. Either spool or thimble was somewhere like $500, I think... But I think the coolest charm from the collection is the sewing machine, which was lot more than the others. It was almost $1000 for the pendant necklace with only sewing machine charm.ush:
