Four Casinos and a Trunk Show *pics*

I was told by 800 number rep that this bag would not be available in US.

Uhmmmmm... I guess she was wrong? I remember how a tPFer wanted this badly and I liked it myself when I saw it in real life. I'm not exactly sure if I would get it though as I don't usually like big bags. But since I was too turned off by most bags from spring, I "might" end up taking my chance with a Portobello this season.


They are also starting to do different things with cerfs this season, as can be seen in the pic below.

Notice how it has contrast piping around the edges? And the color was something I didn't expect them to use. They also had a RED one at the trunk show but I have no pic to show.

Honestly, the only things I liked beside white and pink Portobello were items already available. And as they are mostly costume jewelleries, I really think I would be spending big bucks for bags this spring. Oh, wait a min. I must be forgetting how pricey the jewelleries are getting.

The boutique had the necklace of my dream in, and they are only getting ONE at that boutique as it costs nearly $6100! Not that I have that kind of money to spend for costume jewellery but they also had it only in black and white combo, which I wasn't planning to get.

They do have much more reasonably priced version though and it was prettier than I expected in real life. I just couldn't decide which color scheme to go with. So I told my SA I'll sleep on it. But this was so stupid because as I got on the train to come home, I knew which one I wanted! Argh!! I wish I would've just decide when I was there to have it in my hands. Now I have to wait till Friday, with my SA being off on Thursday.

Anyway, now I know which one I want, I'll post that very special item on Friday for sure.

And here are two little cutsies that got my attention as I left the boutique.

Yup! They are reissue wallets on the chain, in PATENT leather! And talk about pop of color, huh? I usually don't care much for patent leather but the eye catching colors of these bags made me drool over them.

I actually took the pic to show my sister, who's been wanting a WOC. But those babies are just too cute to my eyes, I might just get one myself. I'm still thinking about it but it's very likely one of them might come home with me on Friday along with the necklace mentioned above.

Thanks for sharing the spy pics at the trunk show. That yellow looks weird!!! And I'm so confused about the blue now, is the bottom right a caviar blue or a lambskin blue? Your SA said this isn't the blue everybody is talking about? But I recall that only 2 blues will be made, 1 is very dark navy blue which almost looks like black, and then our dream electric/bright blue. Is this some kind of an "in-between" blue? Oh no!! Which one is which?

BTW, just curious, is the maxi bag on the upper left corner the fuschia color in caviar, and the bottom left corner is the red color in lambskin? Or both are reds? My head is spinning now.....LOL!!!

Any more to reveal???

* Yes. I ripped the title from a movie. Lol. I always have hard time thinking of the words to put it in that box, I thought why not just rip it.

I've been somewhat busy past week, most of them spent at four casinos in Vegas. (Hence the title, of course.) Don't ask me about how much I won or lost though because I LOST and reminding myself how much is too painful.ush: We shall just focus on my other fave Vegas activity, shopping!

After long flight from NYC and checking in, I dragged my weary body to Bellagio to check out their Chanel boutique. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have many spring items to check out. But it was of course great that they still had few things left on sale. Not many selections left, yet just enough for me to pick out two I liked.


First comes a brooch...

Yeah, I know I have too many brooches but you must also know I'm a hopeless addict! And I thought it would be interesting to get this one since its made of a totally different material from my collection.

Now I have a tweed brooch!


Then out of the very limited selections of sale shoes, I picked these patent loafers.




If I were to go matchy match with these shoes, I think they'd go nicely with my LV Vernis bags. Or would that be too much patent?

Reason I asked is because I love Burberry dog accessories and tried to convince DH to get me a dog for my son. He asked why.....and my answer was because of the dog accessories. DH was like and . Soph, I wanted to have a dog badly when I was about 20 and Gucci was doing all these luxury dog items! And Burberry dog accessories are the cutest, so it's very tough to resist them.

Hmm. I think I may have seen that yellow. If I recall, it was a very small camera bag and, to me, the colour looked like the contents of a very unpleasant nappy.

BTW, $6100 doesn't buy you all the things you see on the back of that model above. It's the price for only one of the strand. (one with lots of camellia) I'll be getting the one with mostly pearls and just three camellias.

Ladies~ I must say, I was very disappointed at what I saw at the trunk show today.

For your viewing pleasure, here's a spy pic of the jumbos and maxis.

I know most of you saw pics from other threads but eh... I also know you guys never get tired of any kinds of pics. And was yellow ever posted in the forum? If so, I must have not seen that thread because I was just too shocked to see that color today.

It's just so not the yellow I was expecting, and my expectation wasn't high. It actually looks lot more yellow in the pic above. In real life, I thought it had lot of green, which reminded me of the dress Mrs.***** at the inauguration. Sure, that Isabel Toledo dress looked lovely on her. But it definitely did not look nice when made into a classic flap. It reminded me of unripe bananas.

I panicked when I saw the blue flap under the yellow. Many of my tPF friends are waiting for bright blue to come and that really isn't electric blue, you know? Then my SA told me that's not the blue everyone wants. He still doesn't know how the lighter one would be, but it would definitely be brighter than that close to navy one.

However, I played around with tha blue jumbo when I was waiting for my SA and yikes! I was so surprised by how soft it is, I started to think if I was holding a lambskin flap. I think it has to be the softest most unstructured caviar flap ever made. And the SAs all said that's how all bags would be. Not like the firmer shape our Miss Reds from cruise was. WTH?

They also had either green lamb jumbo or maxi above those flaps, but it was really ugly IMO. And if you know me well enough, you know I like green. So if I was to call the color homely, the other ladies who usually don't fancy after green would really hate it for sure. I thought it was the worst green they could ever come up with.

I, too, love your reporting style.

I was fixing sandbitches for the guys this morning and thoughts of Chanel came to mind -- and I the only one who thinks about Chanel stuff this much? Anywho, I thought about the majority of the new products versus things from just a few years ago and the word "reboot" came to mind. Then I saw that yellow! YUCK. How apt your analogy of unripened bananas. Chanel should hire on some members for consulting on colors, quality control, and construction.

The only purse that intrigues me is the blue purse with the discs that form the CCs. From the pics, it looks very nice. Once a lover of flaps, me thinks I've come to the end of the road. I can't imagine a flap that can't stand up for itself.
