Hi
I just sold a Gucci bag to a person in Singapore with an uncomfirmed address. She's been an Ebay member since Jan 08 and She's 100% feedback member with 12 feedbacks but only 2 transactions as a buyer. Her account is verified but her address is uncomfirmed. I'm aware that Singapore buyers can not comfirm addresses. What do I do? I'm afraid to send the expensive bag as if she claims she never got it, Paypal will deduct it from my account I believe even if I use a Express mail with tracking & delivery confirmation. I guess all she'd have to say is that she never signed for it. I don't know if I should just refund her the money and have her wire me the money somehow if she still wants the bag. PLS HELP what to do!!!!![/quote]
I've sold quite a few Chanel bags to buyers in Singapore. I always ship via USPS Express Mail International. Signature is mandatory with EMI. I fully insure (first $100 is free), so I normally end up shipping from the PO, not online. I have had buyers with fewer feedback than yours buy my bags from Singapore. I have had NO problems ever with my international buyers. A couple of them have asked me to ship with a lower value on the item. I won't do that, so we mutually agreed not to complete the transaction. I have had no chargebacks and not one complaint. Great feedback from them as well.
You have not said that your buyer has asked you to devalue the bag. She has won it, and that means that you have contracted to sell it to her and ship to her. I think you will probably be fine shipping EMI with full insurance.
Once you have the tracking number, sign in to the USPS website and request emails tracking the package. Once it is delivered, you can also get an email of the signature confirmation, which you should keep for several months in case of an attempted chargeback. I don't think you have anything to worry about here.
