It's finished! Tell me what you thnk about my new setting!

Very beautiful.

Although I can't imagine buying a piece of jewelry, only keep it locked away in a safe because it's too expensive to wear when I want. :confused1: My thoughts are, "why bother?" I'd rather get something that wasn't $100,000 that I could actually use, not have to wear a fake version of it.

Sorry I forgot to get back to this thread. jan228 we are jewelers, the stone is an investment for us so it will be protected in a safe mainly because I have a history with breaking diamonds ;) and this one is one he doesn't want anything to happen to. I don't mind really, I get to wear it for special occasions and really it just makes it even more special to me besides wearing that everyday would make me crazy trying to hide it when I think someone is paying to much attention to it for the wrong reasons, at least in my mind which tends to overreact :Push: also alot of jewelers wives have the secondary pieces made because frankly I'd rather take it off my finger than having it ripped off of it by someone. I'd just toss it and run!!

Here she is.. All finished and early!! But I don't get it until the 19th :P You can see the "sides" to the Venus, it is just gorgeous

I had already bought my husband his gift (a Porsche) for our Anniversary but it looks like he's forgotten all about it. He came home with this and said Honey look what you got me for our Anniversary!

Hmm, you should design a setting that will keep your diamond safe! I've taken the liberty of drawing something up for you:

As you can see, the stone is protected on all sides, and when you want, you can open the little latch, so the front grate swings open to look at the Venus in all its glory. :graucho:

Everyone wins!
