Scarves Hermesmatic - worth a try? Please post your opinions and before/after photos of scarves

The only scarf I can think of I'd like to do has a black base. How would they go about lightening it up? Would love grey instead of black, any ideas?

Keep in mind your resulting scarf will be monochromatic (see the examples above). Your design will flatten a lot. So whatever color you choose that will be the dominant color (or mixed color) in the white areas. For the sun scarf i'd ask them about a yellow - that might help retain the detailing.

For the other scarf, maybe a pale green? Its a sea theme.

Personally I think the scarves looked better in the before photos. But I can see why someone would consider re-dying a scarf. The monochromatic result, while dull, seems more modern than the original. Also you get tired of wearing the same scarf year after year. At Hermes prices you're not going to give toss it out after a season!
