I'm not sure this will be my ultimate grail but it's at the top of my list at the moment....

Le Geographe by Sandra Laroche from 1992. It has a map of Australia including the island I live on, which is often left off maps of Australia! It's also got Australian animals and a kangaroo jacquard. Many of the critters are on our property (including an abundance of wallabies/kangaroos) so it wins for sentimental and patriotic reasons  Currently leaning towards the blue colours, though the green is rather spectacular too!

The photo isn't mine but from Carredeparis.com (I hope it's ok to post someone else's photo with credit):

A kangaroo jacquard sounds amazing! I hope you find one sooner rather than later.

I've been eyeing this design for some time now, just for the kangaroo jacquard, which I think is amazing!! I hope you find your grail one day! Mod shots when you do!!

Plus it is one of the older, quality cashmeres. A win all the way around! You have inspired me - I hope to find one of these myself in just this cw!! Enjoy yours!
You'll love it!! I hope you find it!! Yay, future twins!

And are the older cashmeres of better quality than recent? I did wonder as I've only worn my Savana Dance a few times, and it's already fuzzy with some pilling. Meanwhile this (20+ year-old?) Kimonos et inros is perfectly smooth and soft. :flowers:

There was a noticeable change in the quality of the CSGMs in 2008, as I recall. Quite a hullabaloo about it, including letters and shawls being sent to HQ. The older ones wear so well! Double lucky on your Kiminos - older quality and fab design. Also beautiful cw!! I’d be thrilled to one day be your twin!!

If I recall correctly, back then some collectors said the newer GM were made with shorter cashmere threads, which would pill more easily.

It's definitely been my experience that the older ones wear like iron.
