Thank you! I can't figure out which I'm more excited about, but changeants do give me an extra thrill!!

Thank you!! I would have loved a design of some sort, but I sure wasn't going to pass it up just because it was plain, hee. The contrast border is lovely, and you can even see the changeant effect in it!! Nuts.

Thanks so much!! I have a feeling they are each going to get a lot of wear this week!
Wow... this is magnificent! So much going on with the colors, it doesn't need a design!

Hi everyone, been a little while since my last post, I hope you have all been doing well. I've bought two scarves this winter season, the first was an impulse bid on a format unfamiliar to me, but the itch to broaden my collection outside of the usual 90/70/18 size formats took hold and I bought my first losange. Admittedly, it was more dainty than I expected but I've enjoyed having a different size that rests in my coat pocket without worry.

But for this thread I have got something else :graucho:

I have been after a neutral ex libris for ages, especially with the solid print (not the style with the color border white interior). Last season's anthacite/marine had me tempted, but wasn't perfect for my liking especially with retail prices, which sadly I can't justify at the moment.
I got really lucky finding this one, or perhaps it got lucky finding me, sepia/blanc 90cm.
I have few words, it will be cherished. Thank you for letting me share.

Many congrats! The perfect neutral!! Would you mind sharing some pics of this in the neutral scarves thread? TIA!!:flowers:

Fantastic!!! ESP that changeant. Congrats!

Thank you!! It's a very fun moussie, though I'm still figuring out how to wear it with my wardrobe :flowers:

Thanks so much! There really is a lot going on, and it is such a chameleon depending on the lighting, fold, etc.

Thank you!! I've had quite a smile on my face since receiving it!! :flowers:

You don't need a wardrobe. With this beauty a burlap sack would work. :giggle:

I stumbled upon two (two!!) of my HG scarves in the past 2 weeks, and after a little UPS drama with each, (aggh, why always delivery drama with a grail??) have them both, and am pretty darn excited. Way more excited than I ought to be for a scarf, but you all get it!

The first is one that doesn't seem so popular, but when I first saw it (already sold) on a reseller site many months ago, immediately hoped I'd find it one day. Kimonos et inros, CSGM. Love the patterns, colors, and versatility with my wardrobe. First the full design from the seller site, then a close-up, then a mod shot (sorry for the poor lighting). Only my second CSGM, and don't feel like I'll ever need another. (Well, at least for now ...)

Next, a fab moussie changeant 140. Not as gorgeous or dynamic as the designs that @bunnycat or @Joannadyne have as its only design element is the dark border, but excited to be their colorway twin...er, triplet! Eek!

These are both wonderful - I am particularly smitten with the Kimonos et Inros CSGM! Fabulous!

Congrats on the Ex Libris! I remember you were looking for a dark neutral CW of this design for a very long time. It looks great and perfect all around

Thank you!! It seems a rather under-the-radar design, but I just love it. And it can look like so many different scarves depending on how it's tied :flowers:

I'm not sure this will be my ultimate grail but it's at the top of my list at the moment....

Le Geographe by Sandra Laroche from 1992. It has a map of Australia including the island I live on, which is often left off maps of Australia! It's also got Australian animals and a kangaroo jacquard. Many of the critters are on our property (including an abundance of wallabies/kangaroos) so it wins for sentimental and patriotic reasons :D Currently leaning towards the blue colours, though the green is rather spectacular too!

The photo isn't mine but from Carredeparis.com (I hope it's ok to post someone else's photo with credit):

I have come close to buying this one ( never seen this CW, though) several times as I have visited OZ multiple times.
Love the jacquard design on this one.
I do have 2 scarves with an Australian theme that might also appeal to you-
Reve d’ australie that has an aboriginal Dreamtime vibe
Under the Waves by Alice Shirley depicts the Great Barrier Reef ecosystem.

Happy hunting!

Absolutely, I "need" this scarf .... Currently it's topping the every-growing "needs list" :D

I really hope you find it, it must be yours given the affinity you have.
It’s a superb classic design and a jacquard too, it will still be desirable in another 25 yrs!

Knowing me, I would still be wearing it in another 25 years (I have a bit of a thing for vintage and keeping things long-term) and fingers crossed one comes my way soon - though part of our solar system recently turned up it's toes so I may have to pause the H obsession in favour of having electricity :yucky::-s

Ohhhh....more Australian scarves  Just been googling the designs - they're both gorgeous (& now on the 'needs' list). Now just to decide which CWs - decisions, decisions. I'm always drawn to blues but then I think I'll have too many blue scarves but then I'm reminded of comments in other threads about never being able to have too many blue scarves!:cool:

Haha! I am one to say no such thing as too many blue scarves!
