Finally got it. At a premium but at least not the ridiculous robbery prices some have been charging. Next time I may keep my Grail to myself, as I think discussing it inspired the inflated pricing. C'est la vie!
Ooooh, we are twins. This looks fantastic on you! The other day in Paris I tried to take a picture of roofs with orange ventilation pipes. That picture looks like crap, but yours is awesome! Congrats!

The blue Toits de Paris is the one that has always been the most sought, and i can see why , you look fabulous in it.
I mentioned my weakness for the Copper Toits a over year ago on this thread, and it started a flurry of chat about it ,followed by greedy pricing .Lesson learnt.
I think I've achieved all my' can't live without' Grails, and I paid a lot over retail on at least two occasions . No regrets!
I'm prepared to sit it out and wait for those 'second tier Grails' and I only buy below retail .
So let's stop outing our Grails until after we've found them !

I know that resellers serve a purpose and most are very nice, but I personally avoid those who I have noticed are obviously reading our thread and trying to price gauge us. Not nice at all.

But how do you know? Grails are common knowledge if you've been collecting Hermes scarves long enough. There are blogs out there that drive the market as well. Most grails consensus in fact come from those blogs, the lovely MaiTai's, for example.

I think whatever Mai Tai buys generates interest and some pieces do go on to become sought after, but not exactly Grails .
When I read a good murder mystery I always put myself in the culprit's shoes, and as so with scarves .If I were a reseller I'd watch the climate and buy accordingly at time of issue. Anyway I've never figured out how really juicy resellers come by their wares and are sometimes able to sell below retail as well as over.
As far as knowing, we've definitely seen a scarf discussed here pop up the following day, case in point was the copper Toits I mentioned. We can avoid it by keeping schtum over grails ,or have fun yakking about them and pay more.Take your choice!

KateKluet Congratulations on your copper Toits, green chimney pots an lilac lady ….my favourite!
I don't have one yet , maybe one day I'll get lucky! I do love so many patterns and although Toits was special to me I've lots of others on my horizons too.

One knows through having collected for years from a select group group of resellers and avoiding those whose only motive is an exorbitant profit.

I have Grails to share , and look what arrived last week : La Pégase in Violet , my mega-grail .
I had given up hope and assumed the seller had rescinded , but I was so happily proved wrong!
This very strong purple is nowhere near my comfort zone of orange and red, but it is so divine I'm prepared to trowel on some makeup if need be.
For now with red lipstick and newly washed flyaway hair …..overloading the photos with this one as I was trying out pairings.View attachment 3387782View attachment 3387783View attachment 3387784

You look gorgeous with that purple! I can fully understand why this design is so widely loved now. It's stunning.

Congrats on scoring this HG! You look elegant here. I've been hoping that I would find one at a right price too someday. I just can't pull the trigger at the prices I've seen so far. I've been paying a lot for my grails for the past year and I need to take a break and practice some patience.
