I just returned this Turandot grail to the seller because it is too faded for me to love. What a strange feeling! The blue/orange CW is still grailier for me, but I have always wanted this scarf and I adore this CW. I've recently acquired so many grails in silk, cashmere, and leather - maybe I need to keep a few "out there" to dream about! Anyone else get this feeling?

You did good in returning it, it wasn't the right one for you and now you have all the thrill of the chase to find it !

I'm with you on buying overkill , I like a certain emptiness so that if I fall for something I have a space in my mind for it .
I've sold quite a few pieces recently and love the feeling of having vacancy in my H compartment.
However , it didn't take long to fill it, and more !!!!

Have not been reading threads regularly. Caught the part of buying spree Pirula & momasaurus . I traded scarves this year for handbags. All but one are Hermes. At least I have company. Every time I tell myself "that's it for a while" another comes along I imagine myself wearing. Hoping this will pass & I enjoy my purchases. I love them all. No regrets
Enjoy your Hermes[emoji93] (& anything else you bought)

Thanks so much. It is really sweet to hear from kindred spirits! :hugs::hugs::hugs:

OUCH!
I wonder if the price is an error though. That seller usually has very reasonable listing prices. I've seen much "grailier" scarves go for less than retail from him. Perhaps someone went crazy on the keyboard? LOL
It is a special issue ... see inscription bottom right of scarf ... it is one of the regular cws though but some people go bananas for special issues ...

And .. I am kind of guessing here, but, I think the SAW designs are super popular in Japan ...

AAHHH I missed that it was a limited edition.
Still....that price?!?! :nono: I can't imagine ever paying that.

I'm with you on this froufrou. I have been super selective lately much to the disappointment of my SA lol. Culling my collection and enjoying what I have. I just won my grail at long last and it will arrive next week so keeping fingers crossed the colors, scale and design all suit me, though I love the design flat. We shall see!

Momasaurus, I think I might have returned the same scarf for the same reason about a month ago! The listing did not say how badly faded it was. I was quite disappointed. I took many pictures to document in case there was a dispute. Because it was a Grail, I jumped to buy without asking for more detailed photos and description. Shipping it back to Japan cost me $60 - an expensive lesson learned. Here's a shot of the faded corners - one was pretty much faded to an unappealing brown.

I have another Grail on the bay but the seller declined my request for more detailed photos, and even though I desperately want it, I refuse to buy it without satisfying my doubts.

I just found and won my one and only mousseline grail. It's been offered before, but this time made available by a premier reseller in pristine condition. Will post a picture when it arrives.

I'm so sorry that this happened to you both. That's really terrible. Like you I learned from my one bad experience on eBay. I now must see the entire scarf open. A seller refused to add photos for me recently too so I walked away especially because they were overseas and returns would be expensive and inconvenient.

Note that the seller, who is quite honest, lists the condition as a 7, which to me is a warning sign.

A big congrats! How exciting! Can't wait to see.

Thank you PP. I know how you covet your grails and enjoy seeing your posts:)

I'm on tenterhooks waiting to see both your Grails !
I wish I had one myself; there's a raft of design from five/six years back that I'm interested in , but that's as far as it gets .
