My grail scarf is the Brazil Bandhini. I love blue, I love all of the H indigo line, and I love the feel of dip-dyes. The 140 cm size makes it so great to wrap. I just can't bring myself to pay the price ($1825). I understand how much work goes into it, I even understand the exceptional scarves, but it's just, in my brain, way above my acceptable price for a scarf :hrmm:. And I missed one at resale at a GREAT price last week by just a hair :crybaby:

I can still enjoy its beauty from afar, though :D

This is a really neat shawl. Honestly for the workmanship and the price it's not terrible. Maybe twice the price of a regular dip dye shawl. I can't believe I've just said that.

Hi everyone. I received a small Grail today, literally. I have been looking for a good color of amoureaux de Paris for some time. I thought maybe the neutral gavroche but then I stumbled upon this. As DH says I love reading dusty old novels. I have probably read all of the stories portrayed and I have seen the ballets of several. So it has special sentimental value.

I often comfort myself with pictures while waiting...

Thank you momasaurus! I rarely get really sad over missed purchases of material things, but I have wanted this for SO long. I just can't justify buying a scarf for nearly 1/3 the price of a vintage Kelly, especially a silk one which will get marks unless I baby it beyond all reason.... I will comfort myself with photos

Dearest dearest Momasaurus, I promised you pics of a scarf that you are 100% responsible for my getting. See? There's no need for you to even be in the same room, as delightful as that must be.

No, from the moment I first saw you model this about what, a month back, and mention the word "Karnak" I was lost. It became an instant Grail for me and I stiffened my resolve for what I believed must be a long, drawn out search. Imagine my surprise when a trusted seller, with whom I've done business in the past, had it in excellent condition for well below resale. [emoji15][emoji126]🏻🍾

Aside from the fact that it's absolutely exquisite, I've been longing for an Egypt scarf, but had seen nothing I loved. This was love at first sight, and the fact that it evokes my favorite place in all of Egypt was just too much! I went so many times while living there.

When I researched and discovered it was only made in jersey and mousseline, I decided to get my first mousseline as well! See your power Momasaurus??

So, here it is, my exquisite new beauty thanks entirely to Momasaurus. I will be eternally grateful.

PS: I can't tell if this is your cw, mine has pink and orange, yours looks entirely pink. I hope you like it and don't mind imitation. It's truly a very sentimental one for me. You can clearly see I don't have a clue what I'm doing with it, btw. Must search for moussie wearing pointers!
