This was one of my category 3: maybe someday if I find it for a good price, but if not I'll live scarves. I first saw it and admired it on tango tosca's thread year and a half ago. I never thought I would buy a Gris tortourelle bag at that point. But I did and Tango wore it again recently reigniting my desire for it. The last few that I saw on eBay went for 450 and 600 and there was no way I wanted to pay that. This came up on another site for 200, Brand new with box, crisp and unworn, free shipping. So I couldn't pass it up. I think miss GT met her match.

I actually have a few scarves in the same category coming in the next few weeks. Things I wanted for a while but didn't want to pay a lot for and found for a steal. And with these purchases I took eBay off my devices and stopped trolling for scarves completely. I'll post as they arrive.

This is one of the most gorgeous colorways of Arbre de Vie I've seen. SO ELEGANT!
I can't wait to see what else you got.

I think Ms Bacall, ahem, Ms Pirula is going to be a cousin with you on this design very very shortly, btw. You too are truly like sisters.

As far as the Bay, it will still be there when you decide to start trolling again so enjoy your time away!! Of course, we all hope you continue to post your fabulous mod-shots on the forum even when you aren't acquiring anything new. :D

Oh my goodness.. You scarf hunting skills are just beyond! What a deal! I love this with your Gris T Kelly. Neutral elegance at its best.

Beautiful!! Such a pretty scarf.
We are Kelly twins ( except that mine has brushed PHW).
Gris t is my most carried Kelly. Goes with everything.
I can relate to searching eBay. It's particularly dangerous to peek late at night...

So speaking of grails (non-whacked), all you wonderful and kind people seeking pink Coupons Indiens for me please stop.

I just got a nice deal on another lovely Year of India beauty in such similar colors, I don't think I could justify it. And I'm okay with that because this is gorgeous and I'm delighted!

It tics off three in one:

1) was hoping to find a beautiful Portes at a good price

2) the colors if not the geometry of Coupons

3) similar enough to this season's red Pays des Fleurs et Oiseaux that I can scratch that off the list too.

Two more of my third tier scarf scores errr scarves arrived today. I had pretty much given up on the third tiers thinking I would never find them at a price that I was willing to pay. And just when I gave up they appeared.

First up Mdm et Msr. First enabled by Mai tai and solidified by MYH. I had been looking for a good black brown combo since I bought my gold birkin. I agree with MYH that the older spotless version is better. I even called the Madison Avenue store a few months ago to see if they were still doing the monogram version that MYH bought there. No luck. Just when I had given up this appeared. For $200 free shipping! Brand new. I'm so excited.

Second up: this one was an odd sort of Grail for me. I have to admit that I wasn't drawn to it at first. I liked Mai tai's version as a summery bright but I have never seen it for sale. Two of my favorite silkies- Pirula and MYH- have a different version and they both adore it. So I thought: gee it has to be wonderful. I have bid half heartedly on a few on eBay over the past few months but I wasn't willing to pay the 450-550 that it seems to cost. So I decided I would just scratch it off the list. And then it appeared. For 280 free shipping. It arrived today. Brand new, flawless in a box. Fleurs d'indiennes, shown with colvert and Gris tourtourelle. It also goes nicely with gold. And of course Pirula and MYH were right. It's beautiful. ImageUploadedByPurseForum1453511466.680120.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1453511490.799854.jpg

I feel so very lucky. I can't believe it.
