No, I have been on a little quest lately to get my grails out of the way so I stop looking at eBay out of curiosity. Last week I received turandot and ex Libris en kimonos. I bought les triples a few weeks ago. Something else came in the mail today. I have one more in the works and two still on my wishlist and not anywhere to be found. I thought I had a printemps ete 69 last week but the store made a mistake and it was already sold. I'm not sure that I would really label them all grails but things I saved over the past year thinking they were nice and I kept coming back to them in my mind. It was a longer list but I definitely looked hard and decided which ones I wanted the most. Here are the ones I received already.

These are all so, so pretty! I love this colorway of Turandot on you!

In the case of Ceres, I just fell in love with the design..the color's, too. It is a vintage scarf so I did not have the opportunity to try it on. It has an ivory background and a gold border. The design has beautiful accents of cranberry red. It is a gorgeous scarf for Fall. I truly LOVE this scarf and would never part with it but when I wrap it around my neck I look...well, kind of sick. Ha!! I will experiment with minimizing the gold border and perhaps alter my lipstick. That should help. Coupons is the one like MaiTai's. I tracked it down from a Japanese seller. It still has the Hermes tag attached and I did not pay a premium for it. That was a truly coveted find and I will wear it this Fall.
Mors...well, that day I was at Hermes and felt attracted to the color. This was one of those days where I just really wanted to find something pretty but had NO IDEA what I was looking for. I really can't explain why I don't like that scarf. perhaps its the pattern and perhaps the bit of yellow. I can find a few Mod shots here of others wearing the scarf I may have a renewed appreciation for it.
I think I mentioned earlier that my ALL TIME grail is my cashmere GM ExLibris in natural/noir. Oh, how I love that piece....
On another note, I blame MaiTai for generating grails for me....my oh my she has great taste and wears everything so beautifully.

Mai tai definitely had excellent taste and has inspired several of my grails. That ex Libris shawl being one of them.

Buying the older scarves is tricky because you can't try on and usually can't return things. But there are so many good finds. I suppose we should just be prepared to rehome them if necessary. It's definitely a learning process. I finally feel like I am getting better about choosing.

Completely agree about the lovely Mai Tai. While our coloring is completely different, I've been inspired by her aesthetic and have learned so much from her generous sharing of information. Her website is "very danger" too!

I will have another grail arriving on Friday. Not a terribly popular one but one I wanted for a while. I only have two grails left: taupe printemps ete 69 automne hiver 70 and Mai tai's fleurs d'indiennes. Otherwise I'm done with scarf shopping for now and I'm going to limit myself to three per season going forward including any older purchases. I'm up to 41 now including all formats so I must slow down.

Congrats on scoring another grail, PBP!! You are on a roll; 41?!?! And you have a special trip coming up soon if I remember correctly so I'm sure you will be tempted!!;)

Thanks. I'm operating under the theory that if I put my grails in writing, then get them out of the way and stop buying other non Grail scarves I will break the fever. I think it's working. I'm not tempted by anything else right now. Today.[emoji12]

I can totally relate to wanting to get the grails out of the way and also to the speed of acquisition! I am almost embarrassed to say that I started with H scarves almost exactly two months ago at the last NYC meetup, where I bought a CSGM and a 90cm silk, and I am now up to 12! Whoops.

I have to admit that TPF is a huge influence in this regard because of the wonderful knowledge and beautiful photos everyone shares here, so it's easy to find new grails and hard to resist them when they become available.

Congrats on your latest and can't wait to see photos! :D

Thanks! I am almost 2 years into my addiction and have 41. I am finding fewer and fewer scarves posted that I haven't seen before and that I feel like I need. These grails are all ones I bookmarked long ago. So I do think after a crazy initial rush it gets better. Now I'm onto jewelry! Good luck. It does feel out of control for a while. I highly recommend making a written list and prioritizing. Buying whatever looks good in a particular week gets very dangerous.

You are so right - I got a couple early on in designs or colorways that I now realize don't tie well on me, so I'll probably end up parting ways with a few of them (or maybe hanging them up as wall art). I very much need to slow down and prioritize. I do have them written down, at least.

I can relate. Both to the beginner's frenzy and to slowing down and prioritizing. It's a lot easier to do once you've actually acquired the true loves, as our dear PbP has. Blowing the bank also helps! Because reality. I am very lucky, that with the initial rush over the past 8 months, I made no mistakes. Not one. I love and wear them all. I came verrrry close to buying a couple that would've been mistakes, but escaped. This forum was invaluable for that as well.

So which grails did you acquire bedhead? And if I may, which were the ones that disappointed when tied? I think we can all learn from these.
