No, I have been on a little quest lately to get my grails out of the way so I stop looking at eBay out of curiosity. Last week I received turandot and ex Libris en kimonos. I bought les triples a few weeks ago. Something else came in the mail today. I have one more in the works and two still on my wishlist and not anywhere to be found. I thought I had a printemps ete 69 last week but the store made a mistake and it was already sold. I'm not sure that I would really label them all grails but things I saved over the past year thinking they were nice and I kept coming back to them in my mind. It was a longer list but I definitely looked hard and decided which ones I wanted the most. Here are the ones I received already.

Love this!
Yes, but quietly ask your friends first ... Deliberate posting to flush out grails at any cost is a dangerous practice ... it might cause you to go outside your own financial comfort zone BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY I have seen this lead to temporary STRATOSPHERIC inflation in the prices of scarves
Rencontre Oceane went for obscene prices a few years ago when it got talked up, now, no one cares any more hardly
In the Hermes world, there are always buyers with DEEPER POCKETS than yourself, they get a bee in their bonnet and will pay $1400 for a 90cm twill because they got interested from some post at TPF
Yes but that sort of takes all the fun out of it. Should we be concerned about complimenting someone's post on scarf of the day because if we decide we want it the price will be higher? We could all be self protective but that's really no fun. Losing out on one scarf or paying slightly more might be the price of sharing our excitement and that's fine with me. This is a fun thread so I hope it continues.

My frugal asian-dad would say, this thread is "no good" and "waste money".

Crazy but true! $1400 is way over the line for me HAHA,
As grandmother always said: "There will always be SOMEONE richer and prettier..."
Agreed!
All are lovely but that TURANDOT is perfection. One of the best c/w I've seen.
Sounds JUST like my frugal Asian-DH...almost to the letter! HAHA
I think I just passed out! You got two of my grails in one month!!! Looking fabulous as always PBP!
Thanks for sharing your new grails with us, PbP! Every day on TPF brings new eye candy, and you've treated us to a fine box of Recchiuti.(Are H scarves better than chocolate? Hmmm...) :giggles:
Oh lovely! Is your bag etoupe? Togo?
Etain Togo, it was a declined SO with contrast stitch- I got very lucky!!
Thank you! Wear yours. Once you get started you won't be able to stop!
Well tonight I took the first step....to open the boxes and survey the scene. I discovered a few scarves that I just HAD to have...and yet once acquired have remained unworn. Crazy!
Belle Chasse was one of my former grails....the one with the beautiful blue border.
Coupons Indiennes...still one of my favorites. Need to break her out of the BOX!
During the process I discovered what was likely a poor choice...Mors. This one is a pretty light aqua but has some yellow which is weirdly off putting. This scarf does NOT "love me back" as somebody here beautifully stated. Ceres was a grail that I stalked for months but the colors would better suit a redhead. I am learning!!
Baby steps....I can only hope to aspire wear my scarves as beautifully and confidently as you ladies here do.![]()
Oh twins! I wore mine today too! View attachment 3162411
That's wonderful! They're too beautiful to be in boxes! Especially Coupons! Are you kidding me?? I'm so jealous! [emoji1]
I'm intrigued at the ones you opened and didn't like. Sigh. Did the colors work at the time and your tastes have changed? (Perfectly fair). Or did you want them so much at the time that you bought them in spite of the fact that they weren't your best colors? (An easy trap to fall into I fear).
I'm sure there'll be a good home for them somewhere.
I've learned that the trick to getting past the knotting intimidation and wearing them with confidence is to wear them. A lot. It comes with practice and a little experience (and much attempted copying of our dear veterans).
