I don't know if there are any available, but you should try the Charlotte, NC boutique. The most recent edition of this scarf (excactly like the one pictured) was a special issue done for the opening of the boutique. I have this scarf in the regular (not Charlotte special issue) and it is TDF, hope you find one!:yahoo:

As should no surprise from my effusive response to dduane a few pages back, I really want her black Pavements scarf. (Well, not hers, but one like it!) I have a birthday coming up...and also an anniversary with DH whom I met in Rome...so if the Grail Scarf Fairy could fine me one in the next few weeks, it would make me very happy!

Hey, capulet, this one isn't black, but it is up on eBay, and the auction runs out in about 18 hours. It doesn't look too bad, really:

Take a peek and see if it's something you're interested in.

Best! D.

Thanks so much. I called them but they only have the salmon colourway left and it doesn't suit me:sad: Do you know when the original was issued? TIA!

Thanks, Diane! That one's on my watch list, and I might bid on it, depending how high it goes...there was one in this colorway that went for something like $430 a few months ago, if I recall--at that price I might as well hold out for the colorway I really want, you know? Although I like the design so much that I'll probably end up with it in several colors. :D Just, for financial reasons, I can't get them all at once.

I am terrible with dates, but I think the original was issued in the 90s, maybe even before that. I know I bought mine quite a long time ago, but simply couldn't resist. It is the first time that I purchased two of the same scarf. They do pop up on eBay from time to time, so I'll keep my eyes peeled!

My grail scarf is Credit Lyonnais, Londres 1870-1970 by Philippe Ledoux, 1970.

I saw it on the designersilkscarf site. I fell in love with the design, the colourway and the bees woven into the silk.

Unfortunately it had sold and I understand that it is very rare. :crybaby:

Welcome killerdaisy!! :flowers:
I have never heard about a waterproof one, hopefully some of the scarf experts will be able to provide more information.

They do exist - rare and sort of hard to find - I had a clutch made out of one (see typepad.ticklepie.com...I think she has photos on there showing the water beading on it).
