waaaahhhhhh! thanks for the luck everyone, but at $777.77 i was the second highest bidder. sniff. i have wanted that scarf for AGES, but the scarf had two holes and a run, and i just couldn't go any higher on it. oh, and sorry for not reporting in sooner but i was away for a few days.

DQ, I TOTALLY understand. I didn't get my Polar scarf and I have been searching for about a decade. What is maddening is that it was totally affordable, I just wasn't on ebay when it went up. What can you do?
I do think that the price on your grail was very steep given the condition it was in. It will come up again though, you just have to keep looking.
One thing to keep in mind though, because this one went so high. Somewhere, someone who has one in the back of her closet, might decide to sell. I know if I had one around and thought I could get anything close to $700, it would be on ebay so fast it would make your head spin. Good luck!

without a doubt a grail scarf for me, in any color. i'm always on the hunt for it.
i've heard about the waterproof one, but have never seen it. in fact, any waterproof scarves would be grail scarves too....

As should no surprise from my effusive response to dduane a few pages back, I really want her black Pavements scarf. (Well, not hers, but one like it!) I have a birthday coming up...and also an anniversary with DH whom I met in Rome...so if the Grail Scarf Fairy could fine me one in the next few weeks, it would make me very happy!
