Thank you for thinking of me Rose. I'm looking for the Persona in the carre and I'm hoping to find the Tohu Bohu carre in the more reddish-orange colorway. I haven't tried the pochette size on yet;, next time I'm in the boutique I plan on doing that to see how they work on me.

I am kicking, kicking myself for not purchasing a limited edition QM2 scarf from the Hermes boutique on the QM2 a couple of years ago. They had them on our first trip and I never gave it a thought until the second trip. No more exist. I think they only sold them on the ship and nowhere else.

Sorry if this is not the best place to post this - I'm completely lost without the forum search function.

I've fallen totally head over heels in love with this scarf http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290226186284 (Grotte de Lascaux):heart::heart:

The problem is I'm a bit worried about condition (still VERY inexperienced when it comes to scarves) and don't want to make a purchase I will live to regret later.

So my questions are:
1) How bad do people think the damage is? Will the frayed corner really be that easy to repair?
2) How rare is this scarf? Will I be kicking myself for ages if I miss one?

LaurieAnn are you looking for a Persona 90 cm carre or a pochette? LZ has some nice pochettes for sale at the moment:

Here is a full carre, but it looks more yellow than green:

Rose -- Thanks for posting the website for luxury scarves. I found the name of my HG scarf there (but no photo or price, so I guess they don't have) but I'm going to post the name here as my Holy Gail Scarf:
En Avant Toute! 2004, designed for Queen Mary 2.

I believe this scarf is quite rare - I'm no authority, but there has been some chatter on scarf collector boards about this scarf. There is another Lascaux scarf, but it is much more commonly seen. As far as repairing the hem, you could always take it to Hermes and have them re-hem the scarf. I think it is probably a bit expensive and takes some time before you receive it back, but it would certainly be done by an expert. If it were mine, I would not just let anyone take a crack at it for fear of making it worse. Just wanted to point out that as folded in the box, the scarf looks a bit small. I'd ask for the dimensions and maybe some more photos so you can see the whole thing. I love it, hope you get it!

It's from 2002, but I wasn't into scarves until a couple of years ago and recently came across Legende de Kuna which I'm DYING for because in addition to it being BEAUTIFUL, I'm also from Panama.

I'd love to get 2 of the same colorway of this scarf and frame one of them.

bella, there was a blue one at the KOP sale yesterday -- i may go back tomorrow and would be happy to pick it up for you and post it if it's still there.

REALLY??? Oh, that would be wonderful! I just got a black one on Ebay, but if I could get another, I'd frame one. I have a room full of framed molas and think this scarf would be a really interesting centerpiece.
