May I ask which is the other grail scarf? I'm always curious to know what you're adding to your collection coz I really like your taste. I hope you get Cave Felem!

Some prices are crazy right now. There's a Rencontre Ocean with a starting bid of $699!! :push: It's a seller's market now for sure.

It's Grand Cortege a Moscou in red. I've been on the lookout for one for a while and it finally popped up. I actually bit the bullet and sniped it after realising that the price is only a couple of pounds over UK retail and the price I paid in Euro is under French retail :wtf: The seller is very reputable and she says it's not been worn. Anyway, looking forward to getting that one now.

I AM watching Cave Felem as well though :graucho::sweatdrop: Still thanks for thinking of me, ladies :)

I hate when the prices get up so darned high...I recently had to pass on a grail because it was simply more than I was willing to pay. Feels to me like prices have gone up, even on eBay. :crybaby:Or it may be that I am looking for scarves that are very popular! Hope you get the kitty!

i noticed the same thing -- the price increase on the new scarves must have a trickle-down effect of raising e-bay prices.

Agreed. I was just looking at my watch list, including scarves that have ended, and they've gone waaaaaaay up, even overseas. There's a Les Triples on French eBay that's already the U.S. equivalent of $396 -- and there are still three days and three hours left in the auction!

The Vie du Fleuve that I was looking at went for the equivalent of $288.80 (possibly reasonable, but too rich for my blood), and the Au Coeur des Bois went for the equivalent of $398.10! :wtf:

I shoulda gone for that trashed, beat-up Perroquets that went for $50 . . . or the BIN/BO Becanes that ended with an offer of only $175. If I pass up the Voie Lactee or Les Flacons that are ending today, and hold out for that gorgeous Libres, I'll probably get outbid.

If anyone wants to offer any advice, I'll gladly accept it.:confused1:

Well, I don't know if this is good advice or not, but I am buying dramatically fewer scarves on eBay these days. If they are pristine and if I really, really want them that is one thing, but it seems that most scarves are commanding premium prices. :wtf:Are you near a boutique? I went in and we got to sneak a peek at some teeny, tiny pix of the new scarves coming in. :graucho: OMG, so many that I want so that is also helping me. When I feel like "scarfing", I think of the new ones and, so far, I want the new ones even more. One of my friends suggested that I try wearing each of mine once before buying a new one - ha - men! (Which means it is a great idea but I don't want to agree or I won't be buying scarves for awhile!)

I sure hope the prices get back in line - but since boutique prices are up, I'm not sure we will see eBay prices coming down any time soon. :crybaby:

I do live near a boutique. I'd be shy about going in by myself, though -- I've read so many horror stories about chilly treatment by SAs. Plus I'm not willing to pay retail price -- I have a hard enough time justifying (to myself) paying anything over $100 for a scarf, let alone $300!

I'm rationing myself to one wearing of my single Hermes scarf, the Colchiques, per week. My coworkers will get awfully sick of looking at it otherwise.

They're just envious because it is so gorgeous! There are so many amazing ties that people do, one would hardly know if it was the same scarf. Of course, I am not one of those people who can do amazing ties - I'm lucky if I get a scarf ring on properly! I often go into the boutique and just look at the scarves - let's put it this way - I browse FAR more frequently than I buy! They won't mind if you do that - and if they have the little scarf booklets, you at least can check some of the scarves out. For some reason I will never understand, the booklets seem to come in WEEKS after the scarves do. I always want to know what colorways are available before I make my choice...oh well, the ways of Hermes...

I´m so lucky I found my old time grail Souvenirs de Paris with a good price from an excellent seller. Somehow another scarf tagged along for the ride too:p They should be getting here next week. These are my last ones for a while (atleast 6 months). I really want something leather too and not just scarves all the time
