I started with Rebecca Minkoff (I'm still pretty new to designer bags) and I will never buy one again. I have 1 Rebecca Minkoff piece left and I never use it, I sold all of the others.

My first designer bags were a Dooney and a Coach I got like a month later. I don't buy Dooney. I went for three years without buying Coach, but in April I bought a fun one to take on vacation to the Caribbean. That way I wouldn't have to worry about taking my LV or Burberry bags.

My first designer purchase was a Coach Beekman briefcase. That was my very first and last Coach purchase. I now buy mostly LVs, Chloes, Balenciagas, Kate Spade and a few random designers.

After college, I started w/ either Coach or Dooney, I honestly don't remember. And then when I turned 30, I upgraded to LV. Since then, let's just say I've fine tuned my tastes.:p

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. The Dooney bag was given to me by my mom because my older brother's GF (now SIL) was seen carrying it and I wanted one (she had it in light blue). I think it was the heart charm that attracted me to it. :sweatdrop: The other bags included a fake Chanel cambon tote, also given to me by my mom. :ninja: LOL.

My first designer bag was a Coach, bought back in the late 1980s (at that time, they were locked up behind the counter at our local department store!). It was a navy blue city purse, and I loved it! At this time, my handbag interests are varied (love and own Balenciaga, LV, Gucci, and BV), but I still buy/adore Coach bags (lots of amazing new styles, super quality, and more affordable than most of my other bag "passions!"). In fact, my current favorite bag is my Coach cinammon leather Maggie (rich, burnt orange color and so comfortable to carry!).

My first *real* designer bag was Betsey and still adore her stuff.

When I was younger I would have thought my first designer bag was my Paul Frank Scurvy Skull purse. Now I know all about REAL designer brands :D
