Smythson of Bond Street, based in England. Is that obscure enough? They are an upscale stationery maker and ventured out to bags in recent years. They have amazing sales and I often score great bargains for amazing bags and SLG.

The Beggars Pouch out of Conway, New Hampshire. Beautiful handcrafted all leather bags with leather interior and brass hardware for an unbelievably economical price. If you don't see what you want, they will make one for you.

Two words: Deadly Ponies. Here's my Mr Fill N Zip Twist in Ink (possibly my no. 1 bag and yes, I want another...) and a stock shot of the family of Mr Fill N Zips:

My "obscure" brand is Valextra. No logo and most people can't identify it at a glance. I have their bags, wallets, writing folders, etc...

Smythson are my stationers (I actually am looking forward to getting a new set for my new place) and I have some of their card cases in chèvre, but I haven't looked at their bags yet.
