I have fallen in love with the butterfly btf ring but am having a hard time deciding which finger to buy it for? My fingers are significantly different in size because of my knuckles …. So do you prefer wearing on middle finger or 4th(ring) finger?
I would buy for my 4th but I banged it a couple weeks ago and who knows if it will ever be normal size again :(

I’m looking for some opinions. I’m already planning on my “Me Gift” for a big birthday. Most of VCA’s statement rings are BTF rings. I’ve always been reluctant to commit because they can’t be resized. I recently sized up (and I mean a significant upsize) all of my rings. My love rings no longer fit and just sit around. After having my daughter, no part of my body went back to its original size. How do I get comfortable spending a significant amount of money on a BTF ring? The only non-BTF rings that are comparable, I think, are the noeud and flower lace rings.
Have you looked into getting a ring insert from a jeweller? In case, the size of the ring changed, you could always take that route - that would be the + point on the rings you have picked. If I remember correctly, these rings could be sized one up or down by VCA, don't quote me on it - I would have to double check with my SA. I have noeud and loveee it! I have been thinking about flower lace earrings from couple of years but I think the ring would be a perfect addition for me. Both rings have the fluidity and drama, very comfortable to wear and the btf ring aesthetic. Please let us know which one you picked.

Hi! I think they are two different looks, and it's all preference. To me, rings worn on the middle finger reflect a younger, more casual vibe (you see kids wear rings on all fingers all the time, including rings on a thumb). Rings worn on the 4th finger reflect a more mature, classic, sophisticated look. For big rings, I think rings worn on the 4th finger look very lady like and elegant which is the look I strive for.

For those reasons above, I wear rings on my 4th finger.
I do think rings on the middle finger look nice, you could say it's different, fresh, youthful. However, when it comes to jewelry, I don't want to look fresh and youthful. Nope, that look is not for me, I save the fresh and youthful look for clothes. When I wear jewelry, I want to look old-world glamour, elegant, sophisticated. Think Elizabeth and Queen Elizabeth II, both who's jewelry collection I love. Think Elizabeth Taylor wearing her ruby parure at the pool. Yup, that's what I want to channel... My Lotus Ring on my 4th finger, matching Lotus earrings... worn with my striped top and skinny Bermuda shorts!:heart:
That look is such a effortless chic look to me, which is what I love about it. It's all preference of course.

So think about your look, and the image you want to portray. To me, how you wear your ring factors a lot into that look (e.g. think of a person wearing their ring on the thumb... it's a totally different look).

For me, I vote 4th finger, but everyone has their preferences. And of course, all VCA rings look fabulous on any finger... even the big thumb! Just my two cents, and I hope that helps with what you decide.

By the way, have you tried this Hellebore ring in Lapis? I tried it on, and it's super bold, love it. I would say in a way, it's bolder than the Lotus ring due to it's color and design (the spiked flower). I didn't buy it as I'm not a lapis person (too deep blue for me), but my SA brought it in for me to try as he knows I like big rings. As a ring, wow.. it really pops and I love it.

If you like lapis and this design, perhaps you can check it out. Just a thought.

It depends on the ring for me. I have a bunch of thin diamond bands that I wear on all my fingers, except my pinkie, and my thumb. Switch it up daily depending on my look. For my lotus I wear folded on my pointer finger the most. Then open across pointer, middle or 4th middle. It is a ring that works anywhere. For noeud/frivoles I would likely wear on pointer or forth. Now for butterfly I think best on middle or forth. I don’t think it works on pointer. Oops on long winded answer!

After my recent purchase of the gold clover bangle I thought I hv enough VCA already but it’s so not true! I went to the store today and my SA asked me to try on their btf ring which I previosuly thought not my style as my daily life include only corporate meeting, child care in playhouse, casual daily events mainly and not many glamorous events, but after I tried on the ring I’m hooked and of course immediately consult here for advice two butterfly seem relatively more “casual” and “seem ok” for child playhouse but the frivole is definitely more “value for money” as it’s so bold and in your face and is less expensive than two butterfly….I m also concern if I can age well with “butterfly” ….. some decision making for next year wish list

Hi! I wear my BTF rings for all occasions, casual (e.g. shorts), corporate (suits), and evening. These rings go with everything; it's all what you wear with them.

I agree with your assessment of the two rings. I work in a corporate environment, and I also travel hence I am in suits much of the time. I would say the Frivole comes across more elegant and serious in a work environment. The Two Butterfly is more youthful. For me, I personally would not wear it into the boardroom as I feel I would not look serious. The Two Butterfly ring is more dainty while Frivole BTF packs a punch and makes a big statement.

I prefer bold jewelry that makes a statement, as outside of work, I dress very casual (e.g. tee and shorts). I think Frivole is feminine, yet bold. For me, I find the Two Butterfly ring a bit cutesy, and I know it will not age with me. As thought, you will not be in the child playhouse forever (kids grow up so fast). For me, I want to look like the chic mommy with statement jewelry.

Of all the BTF rings, the WG Frivole pave BTF is my favorite. Plus, you can also get earrings and/or a pendant to match if you wish to make a very elegant look. My vote goes to Frivole!

It's all preference of course, and think of the look and image you want to portray. Each ring gives off a very different vibe.
There are many lovers of each ring, and all VCA is gorgeous. Hope this helps and good luck to you as you decide!

Thanks! That’s my thought too, but as butterfly is one of their collection which I didn’t have a piece yet, so I’m tempted to fill in that hole as well~ So some decision making here haha
