Your 1st designer bag? Thoughts on Rivoli Pm?

The Rivoli from the side view is like a triangle shape (narrower on the top) than a square shape such as a speedy. These inserts will have too much fabric that take up interior space. I made my own purse insert. 40C3D9E4-4B66-4918-BB85-2DADFD666FB3.jpeg

Hey. I just saw this one online. https://jennykrafts.net/customizabl...Nc73Vh4iV9Y1QwjhE1InK4UzFcDXXaOBoCMSgQAvD_BwE
Looks like this will work. May be I will get one also. Good luck.

Congrats on your first ever bag! Mine was the speedy 30 in DE, which I still have 3 years on. Only thing I regret slightly is that I didn't get the one with the strap as it means it is only a handheld. I knew it may be a problem at the time, but it was so much more money for just the strap and I couldn't afford it then. I also have it hotstamped with my initials so re-selling may be an issue. But it was my first piece and love at first sight and I don't think i'll ever sell it :)

Congrats on your first designer bag! I still have mine, a neverfull GM in DE, which I got when I was 16. I think I would sell it if I ever stop using the bag as I don’t have sentimental feelings for items I buy for myself. I would however always keep the pochette double zip in empreinte which I got from my grandpa (I saved years of birthday money to get something special) especially as he passed away recently.

I have the Rivoli PM! My husband gave it to me for my birthday back in January. I got to carry it for a few weeks before the virus showed up and made us all stay home. I loved it every time I carried it. It holds a lot...similar to a Speedy B 25 but with a much larger opening. I also like the handles...they are much more user friendly than the handles on a speedy IMO. The pleats give it an elegant look. I still have my first LV bag...a Verona PM. I don't use it as much anymore, mostly because I've added so many other bags since I got it. But I still love it and probably will never get rid of it because it was my first designer bag and I'm sentimental about things like that.
Hi! Interesting that you say the opening is larger, I have just ordered a Rivoli PM but am wondering if I should have chosen the Speedy 25 B instead. I thought maybe as well as having a smaller opening, the barrel shape of the Speedy, which I love, may not sit nicely on my generous hips!

Hi..i found this thread while scrolling info on rivoli. My first lv was siena pm..loved every bit of it but had to let go due to space issue. Now i’m using speedy b25..my top favorite ones, will not ever think of letting it go
But one thing for sure, as time passes..the speedy became too boxy on me..now that i’m currently eyeing for rivoli (pm size of course) can anyone advise me on whether rivoli is heavy? Speedy would also hurt my back when it’s fully loaded even it’s among the lightest

My Rivoli PM is two years old. It's a very easy bag. Easy to access items, you can see everything inside, easy care, lightweight, fits a lot, practical, patinas nicely. The only con would be that when empty the bottom is saggy and kind of leans. Here are pics of when brandnew and today...20191014_175451.jpg20191014_175506.jpg20210219_112316.jpg20191014_175451.jpg20191014_175506.jpg20210219_112316.jpg20210219_112325.jpg
