Hi , if it was my bag I would wipe it down. A lot of people have had raindrops on their bag and they have wiped them down and said that all spots disappeared. I personally think that if you did it, it would totally blend everything together and look like a new bag again with a tan. Just remember if you wipe it down with a damp cloth it might appear to be dry at first until you wear it a couple times and then the moisture and the oils in your hands will condition it. Hope this helps let me know if you have any other questionsI saw the videos especially the one in the rain, and I'm so amazed. I have question. I have an Alma pm and I did tan it a little before I first used it, but I didn't wipe it with a damp cloth and dry it. I used it gently over 3 years and it has some water stains. Can I now do the first wipe with a damp cloth and dry it? I know the existing stains will not be removed now, but will it help with getting future water stains? Or will the current stains become darker with the wiping?
I also have a vachetta strap and PA in monogram so I would treat them the same way.
here is what what is on the website todaysays clean calfskin and cowhide leather with damp cloth with water

Hi, you can take whatever you want from it. if u want your bags to be dark brown and black and nasty then dont clean them. I want my bags a beautiful honey color as the are. Vachetta is natural untreated cowhide and calf skin leather LV stats several times to care for your natural leather with a soft damp cloth . All the associates that I have talked to about my bags say wipe them down . so I do. I have never put anything on my bags to treat them , I have took them in to the rain , cleaned them with a soft damp cloth and they still look beautiful and new with a tan . No one is saying that you have to do anything with your bags. I just took all the information I gathered LV and my SA and I have been doing this cleaning method ever sinceJust wanted to point out that this is a little misleading, which I am sure you did not intend. This screenshot you show is referring to treated Calfskin and Cowhide Leathers NOT natural leather (aka Vachetta). Here is the screenshot of how they recommend caring for Vachetta:

Notice that they recommend avoiding water and simply using a "lint-free light colored, absorbent cloth" only.
And they state this again in the "Introduction" section, specifically stating to "avoid saturation"View attachment 4319122

They do change the cleaning directions quite often:0 . lol it's not my cleaning method as in i didnt invent it lol . it's just water. I just read it and heard it . its alot better then packing on the apple guardI totally get that and thank you so much for sharing your experiences! I just wanted to point out that the website info may have changed since the first time you saw the "wipe with a damp cloth" info and just want to make sure that people who are on the fence understand that. I personally have been using your method and so far, so good, but it is technically not following their current advice on the LV website.
I am Amazing {my LV bags have nothing to do with that} You May be tooI won’t stress over my LV bags after watching your video? Really?
I respect that you are caring for your bags in the way you think is appropriate. So do we all. ‘Not everyone can be amazing’? ‘I have a lot of peole who listen and some who don’t always come back for help.’ Wow - you don’t think highly of yourself, do you?
I’m not clicking self-promoted videos and I’m not sure why you’d expect people to view you as some sort of expert simply because you perceive yourself that way.
If I want advice about how to care for my bags I will ask LV.
That's awesome but not needed . Can we see pictures? I'm no expert eaitherI have used AppleGuard Rain & Stain Repellent Spray and Cadillac Conditioner and cleaner on the vachetta of ALL of my LV bags for years, without any problem. All of them remain beautiful and in excellent condition to this day. I am by no means an expert, but it works for me!
I am Amazing {my LV bags have nothing to do with that} You May be tooI ment some people listen to what I say and some dont. some of the ones that dont always comes back for advice. Dont click the video I could care less
I dont get paid for them . I dont add adds to them. I have gotten all my information from LV too. I'm just documenting my bags for all to see that without stressing and the proper care my bags are Beautiful. And if you dont think I'm Amazing you haven't seen my channel. I have several videos that will absolutely blow your mind!!! And that's an understatement .
also I never said I was an expert !!! However my bags are AMAZING are yours?
Not necessarily...that's generalizingIsn’t that why people start YouTube channels?
