I bought a Celine Phantom on Yoogi's. I love the bag, but after taking some photos of it today for insurance purposes, I've noticed that the date was misrepresented by Yoogi's (it's a 2012, not 2014). It's not the end of the world, but it does make the bag twice as old as I expected it to be, and I just feel a bit... deceived isn't quite the right word, but I'm sure you all understand. I don't have the best eyes, and the date code on their site is still hard for me to read.
I like my bag and don't want to let it go, but also because I've used the bag daily and added some wear and tear to it that wasn't there when I got it - IMO, this lag can no longer be listed as 'like new,' meaning Yoogis loses as well.
Ugh! My advice would have been somewhat different had you told us UP FRONT that you'd had the bag and used it for 2 months!I've had it 2 months. It was my mistake that I could trust them to have the year of manufacture right, since I assumed during their verification of authenticity, they'd figure this out.
As buyers, we need to take some responsibility and that means to verify that what we buy is delivered in the condition as we expect as well as received as described. We can't assume that they didn't do a typo or misread the date code. They're human just as you are and just as you didn't read the date code and admit to still having trouble, it's understandable that they might have erred too.
As I'd said earlier, I'm not usually an advocate of partials because it's become too commonplace for buyers to seek partials as a way to secure a better (lower) price than they'd agreed to. At first, I thought a partial would be appropriate on a 2-year older bag than you thought you were getting.
However, now that you've disclosed adding wear and tear after 2 months of use, I don't feel that a partial should be expected.
For the record, you keep referring to the bag as being "twice as old" as they claimed and while in the literal sense, that's correct, it's more accurate to say it's 2 years older than they claimed.
