Damier ebene is fine is summer too. I like adding a summery-looking bag charm to it to "lighten" it up in summer. 
That's a great idea!!! Or a light colored bandeau tied on - I'm going to look at those! Thanks so much!!

Lol oh honey ~ I'm a mother of 2 in my 40's (I'm guessing by your posts MUCH older than you) I am quite past following any "trends"... just curious about how others make dark ebene look more summery ~ if you have no desire to bounce ideas around, chat with other purse-lovers, and already think you know everything... why in the world are you on the Purse Forum?

I love your thread! It's making me excited for summer![]()
Thanks hun - me too! I JUST found this pic I hope this TPF'er doesn't mind I'm posting it... but I now really think a light scarf or bandeau might do the trick for me, on any ebene bag I get!? Cute huh?? Lol.http://forum.purseblog.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=68305&d=1158258749
Maybe that's why I'm getting an icky feeling about it! Those thick dark straps and I'm imagining my halters and tanks and the sun heating them up!... hmmm~ thanks! I'll keep trying on the Bloomie to see what's comfortable and still looks 'light and fresh'I think a hand-held would be great though I'm going to think about that some more.
I wear all my purses all year round
Here are some of my pics wearing my Azurs in Spring, Summer and Fall

I can see the classics in ebene working well during summer (speedy, alma, neverfull etc.), the dark pattern with white is a gorgeous combination.
I think Ebene can also look quite nice with pastels/neutrals like apricot, camel, light summer greys, beiges and nudes.
